A couple in Pennsylvania has been charged with murdering a three-year-old child. On Tuesday, police were dispatched to the home of Gary Fellenbaum and his girlfriend Jillian Tait.

Officers had received a report about an unresponsive child. When police arrived on scene, 3-year-old Scott McMillan was lying on an air mattress in a bedroom inside the mobile home.

EMTs transported him to the hospital but he was pronounced dead along the way. Tait is the mother of the child. Both she and Fellenbaum have been accused of brutally beating the boy.

Chester County District Attorney Thomas Hogan spoke out about the torture the child endured over a three-day period.

Hogan stated “He was punched in the face and in the stomach, he was scourged with a homemade whip, he was lashed with a metal rod, he was tied to a chair and beaten, he was tied upside down by his feet and beaten.”

Scott’s head was smashed into a wall and he was left with bruises all over his body. According to police, Scott was given a shower to wake him up following a bout of abuse. When the water failed to revive him, Fellenbaum and Tait allegedly went out for a pizza and shopped.

It was Fellenbaum’s estranged wife, Amber, who called 911. Amber lived with the couple. Scott’s 6- year-old brother Ryan was also reportedly abused.

Both he and Scott are from Tait’s previous relationship.

Ryan is now being cared for by relatives. Tait and Fellenbaum are facing a number of charges including first and third degree murder and criminal homicide.

Amber Fellenbaum is facing charges of ‘endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person’.
