Recipe to prepare "Soya Manchurian", a healthy dish:
Ingredients:
1. soya nuggets (boiled in salt water) - 500 gms
2. ginger (julienned) - 2 pieces (each of 2 inches)
3. garlic (julienned) - 10 cloves
4. cornflour water - 2 tablespoons
5. soya sauce - 2 teaspoons
6. red chilli sauce - 2 teaspoons
7. green chilli sauce - 2 teaspoons
8. vinegar - 1/2 teaspoon
9. cabbage (grated) - 100 gms
10. capsicum (julienned) - 2 medium size
11. cooking oil - 1 tablespoon
12. food colour - 1 tablespoon
13. salt - to taste
14. water - 1 medium cup
Procedure:
1. take 500 gms boiled soya nuggets, and add to them-
a. julienned ginger (2 inches)
b. julienned garlic (5 cloves)
c. 1 teaspoon red chilli sauce
d. 1 teaspoon soya sauce
e. 1 teaspoon green chilli sauce
f. 1/4 teaspoon vinegar
2. mix all the ingredients well, and let the soya nuggets marinate for 15-20 minutes
3. heat 1 tablespoon cooking oil on high flame
4. add julienned ginger (2 inches)
5. add julienned garlic (5 cloves), and saute
6. add marinated soya nuggets
7. add grated cabbage (100 gms), and mix them well
8. add the following ingredients-
a. 1 teaspoon soya sauce
b. 1 teaspoon red chilli sauce
c. 1 teaspoon green chilli sauce
d. 1/4 teaspoon vinegar
e. 1 tablespoon food colour
f. salt to taste (or 1 teaspoon)
g. julienned capsicum (2 medium size)
9. blend all the ingredients
10. add 1 medium cup water for gravy, and stir
11. cover the pan, and let the dish cook for a minute, until it starts boiling
12. add 2 tablespoons cornflour water, and cook for 2 minutes
13. garnish with julienned ginger, and serve
