A driver in Bradford, UK received a parking ticket because while being stuck waiting in a line of traffic.

Most of us perceive parking enforcement officers to be way too aggressive.

In one report that adds insult to injury, a driver in Bradford U.K. received a parking ticket because he was stuck waiting in a line of traffic.

Victor Hankins is the motorist in question. A mobile traffic enforcement vehicle captured an image of his car stopped in a bus stop while waiting at a red light.

When Hankins received a penalty notice for the so-called parking offense, he swiftly went to work investigating the rules pertaining to waiting at bus stops.

Once he was entirely sure no law had been broken, he contacted Bradford Council. Hankins referred to the ticket as an “absolute joke” and threatened to bring legal proceedings against the council.

It didn’t take long for authorities to admit a mistake had been made and apologize. Following the decision to toss out the citation, Bradford Council released a statement noting “We continue to monitor and review performance regularly to ensure any errors are minimised.”
