A 7-month pregnant woman was able to survive a violent home invasion after being struck with a tiki torch.

In one extremely troubling report, a 7 month pregnant woman was assaulted during a violent home invasion. Fortunately, she survived.

Police claimed a female suspect knocked on the door of a home located on Flower Avenue in Takoma Park, Maryland.

Although two occupants, the pregnant lady and a man, were inside the residence, neither one of them answered. The intruder wasn’t willing to leave, so she pushed in a window mounted air conditioning unit to gain entry inside the house.

The expectant mother then confronted the intruder and the two females argued back and forth. The suspect got violent shortly thereafter and struck the pregnant female in the stomach with a broken tiki torch.

The man of the house rushed to the woman’s aid, but the intruder stabbed him with another, unidentified sharp object. The suspect then fled the scene, leaving in a taxi.

Police and rescue crews arrived to treat the pregnant woman at the home. The male occupant was taken to the nearest hospital.
