For 2 thousand dollars, a man in Seattle will give tourists a three-day immersive experience in what it’s like to live on the city’s streets.

Mike Momany calls it a Course in Applied Homelessness and promises a true-to-life 3-day experience including wardrobe assistance, escorts to popular homeless spots, and nights in a hostel.

He should know – he’s been homeless himself for the past two months.

Still, he’s managed to create a website for his new company Real View Tours.

Prior to being closed to outside commentary, the tour’s Facebook page saw quite a bit of posting activity.

Comments were primarily from people outraged by the thought of what Momany is doing, calling it everything from exploitative to repugnant.

Taking advantage of the city’s downtrodden certainly isn’t his intention, nor does he believe that’s what the homelessness course is offering.

According to him, “It’s to bring an experience to people they can’t get very easily.”

Further, as much as he loves the idea of a little income, he plans to donate part of the proceeds to the people and places that accommodate him and his clients.
