I'm a little Blackbird Carling Hot Six 1990
After some 6 years of practice the Carling Hot Six from Gotheburg, Sweden play a club concert in 1990. In this clip they play an early jazz classic.
"I'am a little Blackbird looking for a Bluebird" was first recorded in 1924 by Clarence Williams' Blue Five with Clarence Williams piano, Louis Armstrong cornet, Sidney Bechet soprano saxophone, Charlie Irvis trombone and Buddy Christian banjo.
Father Hans plays trumpet where Gerd take the piano chair, Max is on clarinet and Gunhild swirched from trumpet onto her trombone. Unbelievable is the sound coming from the trombone with this very small bell. "Big Chops"
In 1985 at the Breda Jazz Festival the family performed this tune as well and were complimented on stage by Clarence Williams' son Spencer Williams.
