Fugues and variations _ Carlings

Before getting into jazz the Carling family trained by learning to play
(so called) serious music. They used a combination of regular instruments and home made ones. ( Father Hans made a fiddle, a harp and a cello). They also were trained on double reed instruments and the music contained old forms of music, fugues and all kind of variations. They composed the music themselves and in this clip from a church concert in December 1985 several short pieces are shown.
Ulf is 6, Gunhild is 10, Gerd is 14 and Max is 16.
