Jubilee Stomp - Duke Ellington -Carlings

Do not miss this one!!!!

In 1928 Duke Ellington recorded the Jubilee Stomp. I never owned the original 78 rpm disc ( never been my hobby either), but in 1962 I bought the LP with Jubilee Stomp on it. It has always been a favourite Ellington classic. I play part of that LP in this clip with the pictures from the album.
Next you’ll see the Carling family perform Jubilee Stomp at the Stockamollan Jazz festival in Sweden in June of 2007. Both the Carling daughters, Gerd and Gunhild are being featured on trombone.
This clip was very well filmed by youtube friend “Glengillo”.
After that I’ll go back some 20 years. In 1987 when Gerd was 16 and Gunhild 12 they played this tune for the first time on film. Drummer and young brother Ulf had just turned 8. This was filmed by Stellan Obert who introduced me filmwise to the Carling family around that time.
OK folks, first the original, then Gerd and Gunhild in 2007 and 1987.
No comment from my end, at this time, It is all yours !!!
