There’s a never-ending list of little luxuries out there. But here’s one you probably wouldn’t think of spending extra money on… toilet paper!

A Japanese company is now offering a monthly subscription service which delivers rolls of toilet paper to customers’ door. The cost for each roll is a hefty $13 and that’s at the discounted price.

As with any contracted service, once a subscription begins customers are bound to stick with it, in this case until after the fourth delivery. As for what exactly justifies the high costs, the paper is said to feel like silk.

But appearance also plays a key role. Just taking a quick glance at the roll, it doesn’t look cheap. The rolls are placed in a handcrafted, artfully decorated box.

They are then wrapped in a luxurious, textured, dyed paper. The roll itself also boats some intricate, tasteful designs and as an added bonus, it is specially crafted to look stylish, no matter where it’s torn by the toilet user.

The production method for the T.P. is adjusted for humidity and temperature on a daily basis. What do you think? Are you ready for a toilet paper upgrade?
