Due to the fact that it contains hemp seeds, the US Air Force is forbidding its airmen from eating Chobani’s Blueberry Power Flip Yogurt.

The product violates the military’s rule against the consumption of both hemp seeds and oil.

And the prohibition against the ingredients is based on studies that show THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, can be present in them.

As THC shows up in the Air Force’s drug tests, all products containing hemp are prohibited from ingestion.

Shortly after the restriction was made public, Chobani announced that a serving of the yogurt contains one–twentieth of the amount necessary to surpass the federal limit.

They also said they would remove the hemp from the Blueberry Power Flip variety.

A spokesperson for the company wrote, “we’re committed to giving our fans what they want and are in the process of removing the ingredient from our Blueberry Power Chobani Flip. We greatly respect our armed forces and take pride in serving our troops.”
