A crew landed a massive lobster that was estimated to weigh approximately 20 pounds.

The Coast of New England is a great place for those interested in fishing lobsters. Recently, a man from Gloucester, Massachusetts was pleasantly surprised to see a massive lobster in his trap.

The crew which was on Skipper Lou Williams’ The Pretty Girl landed the lobster that weighed approximately 20 pounds. The lobstermen took some photos with the lobster and released it back into the sea.

The GoodMorningGloucester blog was the first to release the picture of a crew member struggling to hold up the huge crustacean. One of the workers on The Pretty Girl sent in the photo with a captain referring to the creature as a “bad mother”.

Restaurants usually serve whole lobsters that weigh anywhere from 1 and a quarter to 1 and a half pounds to make sure the meat is tender. The monster catch’s crusher claw is said to be much bigger than decent-sized lobsters which commonly end up on plates.

Have you ever caught a massive lobster before?
