Cats have an uncanny ability when it comes to getting in sticky situations. A tiny, helpless kitten has been rescued from a vending machine.

Employees at a Big Lots store in Alabama heard a meowing sound coming from the inside of a Dr Pepper machine located on the sidewalk. Staff members immediately knew the cries were coming from a kitten.

Thankfully the tiny animal did not receive an electrical shock. Evidently the male tabby crawled into a small hole in the back of the machine, but he couldn’t get back out.

Big Lots staff called Animal Control.

The tabby was said to be stuck “between the plastic where it says Dr Pepper and a door”. The cat was successfully freed, but he was said to be terrified.

Animal control officer, Mike Henderson found a good home for the kitty. He gave it to a friend's granddaughter who had wanted to adopt a cat.
