Nick Von Schirnding reiterates that if Rothschild and Bourneo Joint Venture's votes are not considered, 87% of shareholders voted against Rothschild rejoining the board as an executive. He claims shareholders do not endorse Rothschild's aggressive approach. He stresses the 81% vote in favour of his position from 'free float votes' is his mandate to implement the board's plans.
He stresses that the majority of money loss occurred before Bumi Plc became invested in the Bumi Indonesian entity and that these are only allegations at this stage and are not proven. He clarifies the actions being taken as part of the investigation including involvement of the Serious Fraud Office. The reporter explains that Rothschild has already said the investigation is not part of the Serious Fraud Office's remit -- Nick Von Schirnding clarifies their involvement.
He then reiterates 25 of 30 'long only' investors backed the board, he talks about the search for a new chairman and calls for Rothschild to back to the board in future.
