Personalized Zen Gardens

Personalized Zen Gardens - as part of the shopping series by GeoBeats. These are my modern Zen Gardens that I put a spin on. I wanted to have a touch of life into it so I brought in a unique cactus that I found. It is got waves in it, in white decorative sand. This sands are so fine, you can draw in it with more compact design as you see here. They require just about a few teaspoons of water once every few weeks. Keep them away from direct sunlight. Traditionally a Zen garden is for meditation, to find peace, inner peace. And so you draw away, you make designs. You use, traditionally it is a wooden rake like this and you make designs like this. But with a rake I find that although you can make designs, the design would not be as compact in detail. I like to use something with a finer point, or even a pen, actually, if you are sitting at your desk you can just use a pen, and just draw away. It gives you so much more freedom to just draw intricate designs.
