Footage shows the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Beryl which killed 36 people.

Videos show the clean up operation currently underway in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, after a category five Atlantic hurricane ripped through the country.

Sheldon Levene, 38, lives in Kingston, Jamaica and said he escaped the worst of the storm.

But he headed to Saint Elizbeth and Manchester which was caught in the eye of the storm to check out the aftermath and help with the clean up.

He saw towns without power, schools without roofs and devastated families mourning.

Sheldon, a digital animator, from Kingston, Jamaica, said: "They got the eye of the storm.

"Seeing the devastation in person was a lot different - a lot of places are without power still.

"I was speechless, there were no words. Driving through and debris all over.

"Speaking to people, they were traumatized by what happened - the clean up operation continues.

"There is a lot of work to do, it is going to take them some time."

Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Jamaica earlier this month and the clean up operation is continuing.

The death toll of Hurricane Beryl has hit 36 as many people in the state lost power in the extreme heat.
