Stove Cleaning Tips

Stove Cleaning Tips - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. Hi, I am Radha Tabak, a personal chef working in New York City. I have a few stove cleaning tips. You may wonder "how can I get that baked-on gunk off my stove?" The most important thing is to use prevention, by cleaning the stove. As soon as you make a mess, just clean it up so it does not have a chance to get hot, dry, and baked on the stove. Otherwise, if it is too late, you have left it, it has been there about a week, what you should do is - all stoves are different. You just remove the stands there. There is a couple of products you can use, like a heavy-duty Fantastic. You can spray it on and let it soak for about fifteen minutes. Then get to it with a scratch-free scrubby. It is really important to get a scratch-free because this really will scratch. Otherwise, you can use good old Soft Scrub, Barkeeper's friend I think it is called, or some Bon Ami. Anything that is a non-scratch product is what you want to go for. Then you can just use the scrubby side and scrub it clean. But I do suggest you clean up your messes right away; then you will not have to put in the elbow grease.
