00:50voice like kind of fading away like someone was taking the phone away from her and i heard like
00:55this guy then gets on the phone and he goes hey i have your mom and if you don't send me money i'm
01:03gonna kill this i only sent the money and as soon as i sent it he hung up and so i called the number
01:09back i didn't even go to my contacts i just clicked the number to call back and it called my mom and i'm
01:15like mom are you okay and she's like what are you talking about huh so it uses her number shows up
01:22so they do they you know what's it called what's that called again spoof spoofing cloning clone whatever
01:29it is so they they can use the number yeah look like it's coming from your mom i don't know about
01:34the voice if she just assumed her mind made her assume that was her mom's voice because she saw her
01:39mom's name and number right it would be confusing just had a number uh amy is with us next here amy you had a
01:46comment hi yeah back in 2016 um my mother's co-worker called me saying that my mother had
01:54received a phone call at work and then ran out of the office crying and no one could find no one
02:00could contact and no one knew it was up it turns out that these kinds of scammers had called my sister
02:06first and told them that i was in a car accident they knew my make and model of my car everything
02:11and so they said that in order to prevent me from going to jail she had to send money and then
02:16another one of the scammers called my mother and told them that my sister was being held by drug
02:20dealers which knowing my sister was absolutely possible um and and the two of them had been
02:27doing this for six hours they had my sister riding around on the trains and telling her like
02:31you know get off at this stop we're tracking you gps if you get off anywhere else or go to the
02:35police station we'll kill your sister i mean i was completely uninvolved i didn't know this was
02:40happening but the two of them it was their entire day wow thanks for calling in amy yeah crazy
02:46and once again that just doesn't that's a terrible situation but it seems that there is an extreme
02:51amount of people that are willing to believe they're in a liam neeson movie that's it i think
