A female BJP leader from Haridwar was reportedly caught red-handed with her alleged lover at Rishikul Ground by the man's wife and family members. The confrontation escalated into a physical altercation, with the lover’s relatives allegedly assaulting the leader, grabbing her collar, and pulling her. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, stirring discussions.
According to reports, the BJP leader, a widow and resident of the Tehri Displaced Colony, had been in a close association with the married man from Haridwar for around two-and-a-half years. Sources suggest that their friendship gradually turned into a romantic relationship.
On the evening of the incident, the two were reportedly engrossed in conversation at Rishikul Ground when the man's wife, along with her relatives, arrived at the scene. Upon catching them together, they allegedly assaulted the BJP leader, hurling verbal abuse and physically attacking her.
Meanwhile, screenshots of WhatsApp chats allegedly exchanged between the BJP leader and her lover have also surfaced online, adding to the controversy. The police have yet to release an official statement regarding the matter.
