00:00Hello, there. We've got a north-west-south-east split with our weather at the moment. If you're
00:05across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, western parts of England and Wales, it's quite
00:09cloudy with some outbreaks of rain. But over south-east, it's dry for now until the weather
00:13front slips its way southwards. But the good news is if you like the dry weather, it continues
00:17to end March and into the beginning of April as well as high pressure becomes established
00:22across many parts, so little in the way of rain. However, at the moment, we do have rain
00:27across parts of Northern Ireland, Scotland, some snow as well across the highest ground
00:31of Scotland here. And then this rain band just slowly slipping its way south-eastwards
00:35as we go through the afternoon. Into the evening time, outbreaks of rain could be heavy at
00:38times across the high ground of Northern England, northern parts of Wales too. Best of the sunshine
00:43holding on across eastern parts of the Midlands down into East Anglia, south-east England
00:47here. They're turning increasingly hazy later. The wind's turning increasingly strong across
00:52north-western parts of the UK, some local gales around the coast as well. So just take
00:56the edge off the temperatures a little bit. It will feel cool under the cloud and patchy
01:00rain with temperatures on the face of it reaching double figures, 15, 16 Celsius in the best
01:06of the sunshine towards the south-east, but feeling quite chilly under that cloud. Into
01:10the evening time, this weather front continues to slip its way south-eastwards, but it does
01:14bump into a ridge of high pressure, so much of the rain is squeezed out of it. It becomes
01:18more an area of cloud and drizzle as it pushes south-eastwards with then clear spells following
01:22on behind overnight. Further showers though across northern Scotland and it does remain
01:27quite blustery with north-westerly winds across the whole of the country. But that will keep
01:31temperatures up for many of us, 7 to 9 Celsius. So not a cold night to come. Some sheltered
01:37spots are a little lower than this, but that means there will be some bright spells to
01:40start Sunday morning. Any early rain clearing the south-east and then showers largely restricted
01:47to northern parts of Scotland as we go through the day. Plenty of sunshine developing for
01:51many. The wind's still coming in from the north, still brisk down the east coast. That
01:55northerly wind could bring some large waves to coastal stretches, so do take care here.
02:01But further west, winds will fall lighter, though clouds starting to thicken across parts
02:05of Northern Ireland later on. And temperature-wise, generally similar again, 13 to 15, locally
02:1116 or 17 Celsius. So in sheltered spots in that sunshine, which is starting to strengthen
02:17at this time of the year, it will feel fairly pleasant out there. But most places having
02:21a dry end to the day as well, just one or two showers across the far north. But these
02:26easing and then a weak weather front bringing some thicker cloud across the far north-west
02:30of the UK later on. But most places dry, perhaps local frost overnight into Monday morning.
02:37But overall, generally staying dry as high pressure builds in next week. See you soon.
