00:00Good morning and welcome to your latest Met Office weather forecast. For most of us today
00:05is going to be another fine and sunny day, but a change is on the way as we go through
00:09the next few days, all courtesy of this cold front which is going to be marking the boundary
00:13between the warm air, what we have in place at the moment, and some much colder conditions
00:18which will encompass a lot of the UK as we go through the next few days. But before we
00:23get there, still have a fine day to come today across the UK. Lots of sunshine around, once
00:28any early mist and fog clears. Exceptions though, far north of Scotland where we have
00:33this band of cloud and rain, could also just see a few showery outbreaks of rain across
00:37the very far south-western parts of England. But for most of us in the sunshine, temperatures
00:42really responding, especially across England and Wales, widely mid to high teens, potentially
00:47up to 20 degrees in a few spots, that's 68 in Fahrenheit. Into the evening, the band
00:53of cloud and rain across Scotland will gradually sink its way a little bit further southward
00:58and that's going to be the boundary between the warmer and the colder air. So turning
01:02much colder across the very far north of Scotland come the end of the night with some blustery
01:07showers following. Ahead of the front, we could also see some har and some frets just
01:11beginning to move in from the North Sea, so turning quite murky along some eastern coasts
01:15of Scotland and England. But elsewhere, a fairly quiet night, maybe a few mist and fog
01:20patches forming. And in the countryside, turning pretty chilly but I think most towns and cities
01:25holding up into mid-single figures. So for much of England and Wales, we start the day
01:31on Monday with again relatively fine conditions, some good amounts of sunshine, maybe a little
01:36bit more in the way of cloud in the sky compared to of late. But further north, this weather
01:41front will continue to sink its way southwards. So by the time we get to the afternoon, mainly
01:46across parts of Northern Ireland and Northern England, Scotland beginning to cheer up but
01:50much colder here. Temperatures really struggling, especially factoring in that strong breeze.
01:56Some showers also following on, so a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers here. But
02:00ahead of it, still hanging on to the warmer air for one more day, maybe not as warm as
02:05Sunday, but still we could see highs reaching 16 or 17 degrees. That front will continue
02:11to sink its way southwards as we go through Monday and into Tuesday and all of us into
02:15the colder air by the time we wake up on Tuesday. But you can find out more details about the
02:20weather where you are on our app or on our website. But for me for now, take care and
02:24I'll see you again soon.
