00:00Last night, at about the 9 p.m. hour, a New York Times story broke.
00:03The headline was, Pentagon set up briefing for Musk on potential war with China.
00:09Now, notably, this New York Times story had more reporters than sources.
00:14There were five reporters.
00:15There were two officials confirming the details of that report, unnamed officials.
00:20President Trump denied the report at 11.20 p.m.
00:23What was interesting right now is you heard President Trump not just deny the report,
00:29but explain that Elon Musk would never be given access to war plans with China because
00:34he's a businessman.
00:35Why would he ever do that?
00:36He even went so far as to mention a conflict of interest.
00:39Elon Musk has business deals in China.
00:41Why would I give him this information, though he did praise Elon Musk broadly in his portfolio?
00:46Big news out of this.
00:48We will let you in on all of it.
00:49This is Outnumbered.
00:50I'm Kayleigh McEnany.
00:51Here is my co-host, Emily Campagno, and Harris Faulkner.
00:54Also joining us, Lisa Booth, Fox News political analyst, Guy Benson, Fox News contributor,
00:59and host of The Guy Benson Show on Fox News Radio.
01:01Guy, you and I were speaking.
01:03The most interesting part of this to me, and you and I agreed on this, was you didn't have
01:08a reporter say to him, hey, Elon Musk has a conflict of interest here.
01:13He acknowledged it himself and explained how seriously he takes this information.
01:17Let's listen to that moment.
01:18I certainly wouldn't want, you know, Elon has businesses in China, and he would be susceptible
01:25perhaps to that.
01:27But it was such a fake story.
01:28The New York Times is just as fake as CNN and MSDNC.
01:33And anybody read that story, people laughed at that story.
01:37Who would do such a thing?
01:38And the first thing I did is I called Susie and I called Pete and said, is there any truth
01:44to that?
01:45And they said, it's ridiculous.
01:46No, he's over there to talk about cost.
01:49You might want to address that, Pete.
01:50But Elon was over there today to address cost.
01:55Doge, a thing called Doge, which you've heard about.
01:58Guy, they had five reporters.
02:00They had two officials confirming the details for confirming more broadly that Elon would
02:05be at the Pentagon.
02:06That was a fierce denial.
02:08That was a categorical denial of the story.
02:11And my ears perked up as yours did.
02:14He was not asked about a conflict of interest.
02:17He raised that himself unsolicited.
02:20He understood the reason why someone would object to this.
02:23And he agreed with it.
02:24He said, that's why we're not doing it.
02:26So it wasn't just like, oh, fake news.
02:28Move on.
02:29It was fake news for these reasons.
02:30We would never allow it specifically because of some of these concerns.
02:34And therefore, the story is false.
02:35We would never even consider something like that.
02:38You worked in the press office.
02:39You know what a really strenuous denial looks like.
02:42That was it.
02:43Yeah.
02:44And to get it so quickly at eleven twenty p.m. last night, it's like I could see the
02:46balloon of the liberal media just pop in the air, just fizzle out as he gave that denial.
02:51You know, Harris, he also took on the judge.
02:54And I think the way he framed this is something a lot of Americans who just voted in an election
02:59in November will understand.
03:00Listen, this is about the judge in that plane with Trinidad, Aragua, alleged gang members
03:04on it.
03:07If ISIS or Al Qaeda foreign terrorists were operating here in the United States, cops
03:13would probably be shooting first and asking questions later.
03:17And so what is the difference between terrorists, between somebody like an ISIS or an Al Qaeda
03:23operative versus MS-13 or Trinidad, Aragua?
03:26Well, these are people that focus on destroying people in their homes.
03:31They're not as international in that sense.
03:36They're a group of thugs.
03:37They come from Venezuela.
03:38They come from the prisons of Venezuela.
03:41They're tough people.
03:42They're bad people.
03:43We don't want them in our country.
03:44We can't let a judge say that he wants him.
03:46You know, he didn't run for president.
03:47He didn't get much more than 80 million votes.
03:52And we just can't let that happen.
03:54It'd be so bad for our country.
03:55Yeah.
03:56You know, what was so interesting about that entire section to me, Kayleigh, is that he
03:59won on that issue.
04:01And he said that today.
04:02He said the American people expect me to be doing this sort of thing because that's what
04:05I promised.
04:06And that's what needs to be done to protect them.
04:08And that obviously is his first job as commander in chief.
04:11So he took the judge on on the merits of the case.
04:15He didn't make it personal, which it could be because it certainly feels personal, personal
04:20from the other direction as he goes after and joins the litany of people going after
04:25the president from the left.
04:27It wasn't about that.
04:28This was this is what they hired me to do.
04:30And I'm going to do what the American public hired me to do with millions and millions
04:33and millions of votes.
04:35It's on display right now.
04:37And Andy Biggs, congressman from Arizona, also on the Judiciary House committee there,
04:42explained to me today that the problem for this judge is that he actually doesn't have
04:47a position that gives him a lifetime job.
04:51He can be removed if he has bad behavior, if he steps out of line, if it looks like
04:56he's trying to thwart a sitting president or whatever it would be deemed to be.
05:00I thought that was really interesting.
05:02Now, there are some reports that Boasberg may be getting a raise in terms of elevation
05:07of position.
05:08We'll watch for that today.
05:09Yeah.
05:10One hundred sixty seven federal judges, one elected president of the United States.
05:15These judges have an immense amount of power over what the president is doing on a day
05:19to day basis.
05:20Lisa, he also addressed these Tesla attacks that we've seen that are widespread and remarkably
05:24consistent in the way that they're performed.
05:27Listen to what he said.
05:28I view these people as terrorists, just like others.
05:34When I looked at those showrooms burning and those cars, not one or two, like seven, eight,
05:3910 burning, exploding all over the place.
05:42These are terrorists.
05:43Take a look at what's going on now with these terrorists.
05:45He's a terrorist.
05:46So that's an organized event.
05:47You know, take a look at their signs.
05:49Take a look.
05:50They're all made by the same sign company, a nice expensive job.
05:54Now, these are the people that finance it are, in my opinion, in just as big a trouble
06:00as the people that are setting the match and setting the fires.
06:04So we'll see.
06:05It's under very serious investigation by the FBI and by the Justice Department.
06:09These people are terrorists.
06:11It seems like he's indicating there Kash Patel, Pambandi may be looking to see if there's
06:16any sort of organization around this.
06:18Well, yeah.
06:19And they're also making an example out of three different individuals, which I think
06:22will help to send that message that we are treating this as domestic terrorism.
06:26I love these media availabilities and these press conferences.
06:29One, it's a little bit like a choose your own adventure novel.
06:32You know, do we talk about Ukraine?
06:33Do we talk about China?
06:34Do we talk about Doge?
06:35You know, which issue do we talk about?
06:36Because he's doing so much.
06:38This is an administration on steroids.
06:40You can tell the guy doesn't sleep.
06:42And so that's why it's so important for him to do these things, to do these availabilities,
06:46to take a beat like he did with the joint session to Congress as well and say, hey,
06:50look, this is what I'm doing for you.
06:52Here's how I'm delivering.
06:53This is why it's important and to inform the American people.
06:56And this is the most transparent president or at least one of them we've ever had.
06:59You look at his first month alone.
07:01He took over 1000 questions from reporters at seven times as much as Joe Biden did during
07:06that same period of time.
07:08You know, so for good for him, for being so transparent with the American people and speaking
07:12directly to them, it also helps them circumvent the biased media as well.
07:16You know, the motto of my press shop when I was there was offense only.
07:20And I'd like to think that that's a phrase that I adopted from the style of my boss.
07:24And my boss was President Trump and he knows how to go on offense better than anyone.
07:28I want to play an example of that.
07:29A reporter asked him, do you have the authority to deport?
07:34And watch how he turns this around about Joe Biden's authority to let in eight million
07:38illegal immigrants.
07:39Mr. President, do you think you have the authority, the power to round up people, deport them
07:46and then you're under no obligation to a court to show the evidence against them?
07:50Well, that's what the law says.
07:51And that's what our country needs, because we were unfortunately they allowed millions
07:57of people to come into our country, totally unvetted, totally unchecked.
08:01So you ought to ask, do he have the authority to allow millions of people?
08:04Did Biden have the authority to do something that's unthinkable, have open borders where
08:10millions of people poured into our country, totally unvetted and totally unchecked, just
08:14as you would say.
08:16And many of those people were criminals.
08:18Many of them were from jails and prisons and mental institutions and gang members and drug
08:23dealers and very dangerous people.
08:26Many were murderers.
08:27So you ought to ask me if we have the authority.
08:29Did Biden have the authority to allow millions of people to come into our country?
08:34Many of these people, hardened criminals at the top of the line who have caused tremendous
08:39damage in our country.
08:46It would seem Biden's authority would be in contravention of the Immigration and Nationality
08:50Act, but who cares about details?
08:52Emily, this all began and you were very passionate about this with a new fighter jet and the
08:56J-7.
08:57You wanted to expound upon it.
08:58Yeah.
08:59I'm so excited by this.
09:00And keep in mind that just three days ago, China reportedly took a second test flight
09:05of their sixth generation fighter jet.
09:07Now, allegedly that's called the J-36.
09:10They've been operating a fifth generation so far.
09:12It's the J-20, if I remember correctly.
09:14That's radar evading.
09:15And these photos of this new sixth generation fighter jet on their part, it sort of looks
09:19like a mix between the B-2 bomber and the F-117A, which is our stealth fighter.
09:23So basically like a black triangle, like a bat.
09:27And so that's something that when you couple with the Secretary of Defense's remarks today,
09:31where he said, look, under the prior administration, this program was paused, was potentially going
09:35to be canceled.
09:36And now we are reminding the world that our air power is superior and we are investing
09:41in a maintenance of that superiority and that with that air power, the president talked
09:45about how the availability of this new, you know, F-47 on our part, obviously a lot of
09:52it's classified, but he said greater payload, greater maneuverability, greater stealth,
09:57greater speeds.
09:58It's going to hold a bunch of drones.
09:59Tip of the iceberg, and especially that photo was quite exciting.
10:02But I just note that as we come off of the prior administration, remember the spy balloons
10:08that floated across our country.
10:10Remember how we experienced sort of an alarming uptick and surge of physical violations by
10:16the Chinese in terms of our military institutions and installations, not to mention the intellectual
10:20property theft.
10:21That also had to do with air technology.
10:25So I, as an American and as a lover of the Air Force and fighter jets, I'm just so heartened
10:30by the F-47 and I can't wait to see it unveiled.
10:34And final quick point, just last November, China unveiled their answer to our F-22 and
10:39the F-35.
10:41So they're right on our heels.
10:42And this is an example, this is an arena where the president and the Secretary of Defense's
10:47commitment to lethality and superiority on our part is really going to shine through.
10:51Yeah.
10:52Exciting days for the U.S. military.
10:53All right.
10:54Well, House Republicans launching an investigation into rising swatting attacks on conservatives.
11:00Now swatting is when someone tries to send armed police to another person's house under
11:04false pretenses.
11:06The act can put the lives of the victims and the responding officers in danger, as it did
11:10in the case of talk radio host Joe Pagliaro, who was recently woken up in the middle of
11:16the night by more than half a dozen armed officers.
11:21But this guy was, wherever he happened to be, was trying to get police to break down
11:25the door and possibly either kill me or scare us enough to where I would shut my mouth and
11:30not do what I do on the radio every day.
11:31It was one of those, I'm sure you've had this where your heart flops out of your chest.
11:36I've never had it that hard before, but thankfully the police were there.
11:39They understood the situation.
11:40They got that it was a swatting and we're all safe.
11:42I think that it's A, either get me dead, B, have me kill a cop as I'm doing it, C, have
11:48the cop be the one who kills me.
11:49Now we're all bad guys.
11:51And then D, people like you shut up and stop talking about what you talk about.
11:54They didn't accomplish what they wanted to, but I hope there will be accountability.
11:57DHS Secretary Kristi Noem vows to hunt the cowards behind those calls.
12:03Quote, under President Trump's leadership, we will not sit idly by as conservative news
12:08media and their families are being targeted by false swatting.
12:12DHS has the ability to trace phone numbers and track location information and we will
12:17use it to hunt these cowards down.
12:20This is an attack, she says, on our law enforcement and innocent families and we will prosecute
12:25it as such.
12:27Guy, a frightening turn of events that hopefully does not begin a pattern.
12:33Using this as a weapon is extremely dangerous and it's evil and it should be charged basically
12:38at the level of a home invasion.
12:40I think.
12:41Right.
12:42I believe that when someone falsely accuses someone else of, let's say, sexual assault,
12:46if that is proven to be a hoax and false, there should be charges commensurate to what
12:51the lie initially was.
12:53And in this case, you're putting a lot of people's lives in danger.
12:56You are sending armed police, heavily armed police to the house, believing falsely because
13:02of the lie that there is some sort of life threatening moment or incident unfolding in
13:07that house or at that property.
13:09So they are armed to the teeth, understandably.
13:11And the people sitting at home are completely unaware of any of this.
13:14They're just innocently trying to go about their lives, even sleeping in bed at night.
13:18And to have a door knocked down or pounding, it is a terrifying thing.
13:22And those who are responsible for swatting others should face extremely serious consequences
13:28because this type of thing will get people killed.
13:30Lisa, there's a parallel, in my opinion, between this scenario and the vandalism at the Tesla
13:35dealerships and with cars.
13:37The point being, while the defenders of such say, oh, it's innocuous, it's no big deal.
13:41The propensity for massive loss of life, the frightening volatility of these scenarios
13:47is what makes it so explosive and so terrifying.
13:49They need to be condemned and prosecuted immediately.
13:51Well, and you know, how do you think the left would react if that happened?
13:55I mean, sadly, I think there'd be a lot of people cheering.
13:57I mean, we saw that on The Daily Show recently as people were applauding what's happening
14:02with the Teslas and the fire bombings as well.
14:05I mean, look, the whole intention of that, they want to get someone killed.
14:08That's why you swat.
14:09The hope is that the police officer accidentally kills the individual who's being targeted.
14:13They want somebody to be killed.
14:14We've seen people get killed in the past.
14:16One gentleman comes to mind, Andrew Finch.
14:18I think Congress should make this a distinct federal crime.
14:21I believe it can be considered under interstate threats, but to make it a distinct federal
14:26crime because the whole purpose is to get someone killed.
14:29And if this continues, that will likely happen.
14:31Yeah.
14:32I mean, I've seen the phones that can be also.
14:34Yeah, exactly.
14:35You're more equipped to answer that.
14:36I'll kick that over to you.
14:38Kayleigh, as the radio host was talking about it, Mr. Joe, I mean, he outlined exactly what
14:42could I could have been killed.
14:43They could have been killed.
14:44The danger is so profound and frightening.
14:46It's very scary.
14:48Someone could definitely get killed.
14:50This is a new method, but this this method or practice of intimidation and harassment
14:55is old.
14:56I follow a lot of these conservative influencers.
14:58I've been seeing them say my house is swatted.
15:00Someone said it was swatted for the fourth time.
15:03These influencers are very powerful.
15:05They are very effective.
15:06They have huge followings.
15:08Many of them are probably a reason lots of young people flock to the president.
15:11So people know that and they target people who are effective in the Trump orbit.
15:15They did this to me.
15:17My old house in Florida was not swatted, but when they were burning down buildings in the
15:21Tampa area and a gas station, they posted the address of my house, picture of my house
15:25and my house was next.
15:26I had police show up at my door.
15:28I had a new baby and they said they're threatening to burn down your house.
15:32We need to protect you.
15:33They called both of my high schools, the boys school, the girls school.
15:36They called my dad's business.
15:38They called my uncle's business.
15:39They called my sister's track coach.
15:41They called my mother, said that I was the C word and said that I hope I get cancer.
15:46These are the things people sign up for when they sign up to be an effective voice in the
15:50Trump orbit, either in government or as a conservative influencer who I would argue
15:55has outsized influence more so than many actual government officials.
16:00Stay strong, guys.
16:01You're doing a great job.
16:02You're effective.
16:03And the fact that you're being targeted is an example of why you're so.
16:06I'm so sorry.
16:07I didn't realize you had to go through all that since.
16:09Yeah.
16:10It's crazy.
16:11People need to know.
16:12Yeah.
16:13So much.
16:14I'm glad.
16:15I'm glad you shared that.
16:16I do see a similarity with what's going on with Elon Musk and the Teslas.
16:18And I said this yesterday and took a lot of heat for saying it, but I totally believe
16:22it, especially after what you just said, how these should be separate federal crimes.
16:27They're not vandals.
16:28They're domestic terrorists.
16:30They're blowing up dealerships.
16:31There might be a night guard on that.
16:32They like to do these things after hours.
16:34So you see the flames better, I would guess.
16:37This is about ideology.
16:38And if you look at it and Congressman Biggs told me this last hour, if you look at it,
16:43it is the definition of domestic terrorism.
16:47And so what does that mean?
16:48If someone gets hurt in the process of this, that ratchets up that crime even further.
16:53We can't tolerate this like this is this is not OK.
16:57There is now and you can look this up today.
17:00Our Seattle affiliate Fox 13 has video of a woman who's Tesla.
17:04She was driving.
17:05It got spun off the road.
17:08A guy ran her off the road, got out.
17:09He had on full fatigues.
17:11You couldn't see anything except for his eyes.
17:13And he threatened her.
17:14He said, you've got to get rid of this car now.
17:16And he went on.
