00:00Now, more of my interview with President Trump.
00:03They have a $60 billion trade deficit.
00:06China has like a $300 billion last year.
00:08You said it goes up when you add it all up.
00:10It's a trillion.
00:11Way over a hundred, Canada.
00:12And here's my problem with Canada.
00:14Canada was meant to be the 51st state
00:17because we subsidize Canada by $200 billion a year.
00:22We don't need their cars.
00:24We don't need their lumber.
00:25We have a lot of lumber.
00:27We freed it up, as you know, last week.
00:29We're freeing it up so that you can actually cut down a tree
00:32without being given the death penalty
00:34because what these radical environmentalists
00:38have done to our country, but we freed it up.
00:41But we don't need their lumber.
00:43We don't need their energy.
00:44We don't need anything.
00:46We certainly don't want their automobiles.
00:47They make a lot of automobiles.
00:49Millions of automobiles are sent in.
00:51I'd rather have them made in Michigan.
00:53I'd rather have them made in South Carolina
00:55or any one of our...
00:56But you're tougher with Canada than you are with some
00:58of our biggest adversaries.
01:00Only because it's meant to be our 51st state.
01:03No, but listen to this for a second.
01:05We need their territory.
01:06They have territorial advantage.
01:07We're not going to let them get close to China.
01:09Look, I deal with every country, indirectly or directly.
01:13One of the nastiest countries to deal with is Canada.
01:16The people that...
01:17Now, this was Trudeau.
01:19The people that...
01:20Good old Justin.
01:21I call him Governor Trudeau.
01:24His people were nasty.
01:27And they weren't telling the truth.
01:29They never told the truth.
01:30You know that...
01:31You know, they'd say,
01:32well, we don't charge.
01:33Well, they do.
01:34They charge tremendous.
01:35They charge tremendous.
01:36And if you look at dairy products,
01:38what they've done to our farmers...
01:40I'd go up to Iowa.
01:41I'd go up to different places.
01:42Nebraska.
01:43And they would always complain about Canada,
01:45how they get ripped off.
01:46Do you know that Canada has a 250% tariff?
01:49250.
01:50Nobody knows that.
01:51They charge us numbers that are crazy.
01:54We have a very big deficit with Canada.
01:56$60 billion.
01:57And there's no reason...
01:58Much more.
01:59We have much more.
02:00I don't think so.
02:01Just so you understand,
02:02we subsidize Canada.
02:03And I like Canada.
02:04I love Canada.
02:05I love Wayne Gretzky.
02:06I love his wife.
02:07The Liberal Party is going to win now
02:09in the next election, most likely.
02:10I don't care.
02:11And they were down and out.
02:12I don't care.
02:13Isn't that going to make them more hostile to us
02:15and possibly open the door...
02:16No, I'd rather deal with a Liberal than a Conservative.
02:18...for China, closer to Canada,
02:20and that would really put us in a bind.
02:22The Conservative that's running
02:24is stupidly no friend of mine.
02:25I don't know him, but he said negative things.
02:27So when he says negative things,
02:29I couldn't care less.
02:30I think it's easier to deal, actually,
02:32with a Liberal.
02:33And maybe they're going to win,
02:35but I don't really care.
02:36It doesn't matter to me at all.
02:37So your endgame is what with them?
02:39My endgame is I don't want to have a big deficit.
02:42I don't want to see the United States of America...
02:45And you say 60, and I say 200,
02:47but it doesn't matter.
02:49I don't want us to pay $60 or $200 billion
02:52to a country that, if they were a state...
02:55Think of this.
02:56It would be our biggest, most beautiful.
02:58It would be great.
02:59This state, it would be cherished.
03:01We'd take care of it.
03:02The people would pay half what they're paying right now.
03:05You know, Canada pays very little for defense.
03:08They think we're going to defend them.
03:10We protect them.
03:11What?
03:12We protect them.
03:13We protect them.
03:14We protect them.
03:15Do you know, in NATO, they pay less than anybody else.
03:17In everything else, they go,
03:20We bought...
03:21We're in the process of buying 48 icebreakers.
03:23All of a sudden, I see Canada's involved,
03:25where they're going to get a piece of them.
03:27I say, what are they paying?
03:29So I got tired of it.
03:30Here's the story.
03:31I've...
03:32I had one of the most successful economies.
03:34I had the most successful economy
03:36in the history of our country in my first four years.
03:39We did a great job.
03:41Largest tax cuts ever.
03:43Largest everything.
03:44We had right to try.
03:45Were people able to use drugs?
03:47Stupidly, for many years, they weren't able to use,
03:49you know, the far-reaching drugs
03:51because they weren't approved yet.
03:53Somebody's terminally ill.
03:54They couldn't do it with me.
03:55They could do it...
03:56We did so many things.
03:58We rebuilt our military.
03:59Canada doesn't pay for military.
04:01They don't give any...
04:02They give us nothing.
04:03And they are the worst people to negotiate with,
04:06of everybody.
04:07They had the worst...
04:08You got them with USMCA.
04:09You finally got them around the edge on that, though.
04:11No, I got them there.
04:12And USMCA's good, but they cheat.
04:14You know, an agreement's good, but they cheat.
04:16And Mexico cheats also.
04:17But China cheated on your 2019 agreement.
04:19Can I tell you what?
04:20Phase one, they totally cheated and dropped it with Biden.
04:23You had a great deal.
04:24When Biden took over, he didn't push them.
04:26I would call up once every two weeks
04:28saying, you're not living up to the agreement,
04:30and they'd buy more corn, more this.
04:32So the most we ever did was $15 billion with China,
04:36the farmers and everything, and manufacturing.
04:39I had them up to $50 billion, and they were doing it.
04:42When Biden got in...
04:43Do you think Biden called up President Xi
04:45and said, you're screwing us?
