00:00what's up guys welcome back to the shop and today is our second day of trying to
00:06get into the freedom 500 so what we're gonna do oh you got our crown back out
00:13here it's all tuned up it's ready to go we got all the carbon out of the
00:17cylinders everything and today we're gonna practice evasive maneuvering so
00:26when you're dirt track racing or any kind of racing you got to try and avoid
00:30people out there you got to try and get out of the way of someone that spins out
00:34in front of you or something like that so that's what we're gonna do we're
00:38gonna set up some cars out in the field and we're gonna try and not hit him and
00:42it's muddy out there so hopefully we don't hit him but we're gonna be
00:47sliding around probably yeah and then yeah we got lots of plans for this crown
00:54Vic it was probably the best decision ever getting this thing running we got
00:59so much we can do with it so many activities but yeah that's what we're up
01:03to all right guys so we are in the crown Vic we're gonna head out to the field we
01:10got some cars set up and one of the biggest things with oval track whether
01:18it's dirt asphalt is evasive maneuvers so you got to be able to get out of the
01:27way and all that stuff when a car spins sideways in front of you so he spins out
01:34and then you got to be able to dodge him and then duck behind someone else so
01:40I'll show you what I got set up here we're gonna it's pretty tight I don't
01:45know how this is gonna go so we got a couple of our other crown Vic's out here
01:51we'll do a lap here and I'll show you what we're what we're doing
01:59so basically what we're gonna do we're gonna come around and we're gonna come
02:09at these cars and I know they're not moving so it makes it even harder but
02:16we're gonna come in and we got a we got a swerve around this one and get in
02:24around this one and not hit him
02:31so this is you know come to think of it that's a pretty that's pretty tight I'm
02:38not sure if we're gonna be able to do this first try we'll try them I got my
02:43wife coming down she's gonna film it and hopefully we don't bang up our crown Vic
02:50we just got it right and we're just getting started with this thing I was
02:53just thinking I should move that one forward just a little bit like start out
02:58giving myself some room but didn't want to move so this is what we're gonna have
03:05to try so we got to try and basically thread the needle my wife doesn't look
03:11too excited about this we'll see what she has to say I'm practicing evasive
03:19maneuvers today so you have to be able to duck out of a car and dive and dodge
03:28and you know five D's a dodgeball it's basically it so I got this set up and I
03:35I just got like it's pretty tight I'm almost thinking I should spread them out
03:41a little bit more and start like a little further apart no no no just send
03:48it all right we got lots of crown Vic so we're good this is the fun thing when
03:54you get an old car running you get to do stupid stuff and I got 12 acres to
03:59do stupid stuff on no one can get mad at me for doing my stupid stuff unless they
04:04start a fire but it's winter we shouldn't start a fire right now the
04:11only thing that concerns me is this here airbag if something goes real wrong and
04:16this airbag comes out then that's not gonna be much fun so I'm gonna Google
04:20how to now we'll just leave it okay honey what do you think about what I'm
04:25about to do I know but you got to practice right this is the stupid stuff
04:36we get up to out here like we got 12 acres out here we may as well enjoy it
