00:00Today on the TDN Writer's Room, we debut a new segment,
00:04the fastest horse of the week,
00:06brought to you by the Fast Stallions at Windstar Farm.
00:09Typically, it will be the horse
00:10with the highest buyer speed figure of the previous week,
00:13but before we reveal who last week's winner was,
00:17let's hear from one of the Fast Sires at Windstar.
00:20Which Windstar Stallion won the grade one Woodward
00:23as a four-year-old, just like his sire Curlin,
00:25going wire to wire and earning a 104 buyer?
00:28And won the Peter Pan stakes and won 46.71,
00:32the second-fastest nine-furlong Peter Pan ever.
00:35Won six of 10 stakes, including three graded stakes,
00:38earning four triple-digit buyers.
00:41Well, it's Bolt Dorough's half-brother, Global Campaign.
00:46That's an awful lot of fast for just $10,000 at Windstar.
00:52And now the fastest horse of the week.
00:54Yes, Art Collector earned a buyer of 107
00:57in the Pegasus World Cup,
00:58but a little more than two hours before that,
01:01and 1,200 miles north of Gulfstream,
01:04five-year-old gelding Repo Rocks
01:07turned in the week's fastest performance by the numbers,
01:10earning a 111 buyer speed figure
01:13for his eight-and-a-half length victory
01:15in the seven-furlong grade three Toboggan stakes at Aqueduct.
01:20It was a fantastic performance for Repo Rocks,
01:23who is now three for three since owner Stephen Fox
01:26transferred him last November
01:28to Parks Racing's leading trainer, Jamie Ness.
01:32The Toboggan was not only Repo Rocks' fastest race by far,
01:36the Toboggan was his first stakes win
01:39in the 32nd race of his career.
01:42It was also the first graded win for jockey Andrew Wolfson,
01:46who has now transferred his stack
01:47from Penn National to Parks Racing.
01:50And that 111 buyer for Repo Rocks
01:53is the fastest earned by any horse thus far in 2023.
