00:00So, extra heat was obviously very fast.
00:03The fastest horse of the week segment, how's that for a segue there, is presented by the
00:08fast stallions at Windstar, such as the stallion who was the stakes winner at 2, 3, and 4 and
00:13has his first foals hitting the ground this spring.
00:16We'll get to that later.
00:17But first, the fastest horse of the week.
00:19This is the first week in 2023 without a single triple digit buyer, so the horse at the top
00:24of the list is going to be one unfamiliar to most.
00:27Malibu Star, who won a starter allowance on Tuesday at Parks Racing by 12 lengths with
00:33a buyer speed figure of 98.
00:35He now has back-to-back 98 buyers.
00:38Five weeks ago, he won another starter at Parks by 9 lengths.
00:42Now, the horse may be running against starter company right now, but Malibu Star was meant
00:47to be a pretty good horse.
00:48He was originally a Keeneland September yearling for $450,000, began his career with Bob Baffert
00:54in 2019 for Gary and Mary West.
00:57He's a half to Arabian Lion, a three-year-old Baffert has right now.
01:00And if you look on his pedigree page, you might recognize his third dam.
01:03Personal ensign, Malibu Star is the fastest horse of the week.
01:09And now, what about that Windstar stallion?
01:12Independence Hall was an undefeated juvenile, set a new stakes record in the Nashua Stakes,
01:17got a 101 buyer in that race.
01:19The son of Constitution the next year got a 105 buyer in the Fayette.
01:23That was actually his a four-year-old before retiring to Windstar Farm last year.
01:28Independence Hall's first foals hitting the ground now.
01:31Look at them.
01:32Very nice.
01:33And he stands at Windstar for a fee of $10,000.
