00:00As of now, the wind is still blowing in Luzon, and here in most of our country, the effect of the easterly is still there.

00:14If we look at our latest satellite animation, we can see the lines of clouds.

00:20They have parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

00:23Those lines of clouds are possible shear lines.

00:27And because of the shear lines, there will be rainfalls, especially here in the eastern part of Cabizayaan,

00:33as well as in some parts of the Bicol Region area.

00:36So for today, there will be rainfalls mostly here in the eastern sections of our country.

00:42In the eastern section of Luzon, it will be rainy due to the effect of the wind.

00:47In the eastern sections of Visayas, it will also be rainy due to the effect of the shear line.

00:52And in the eastern sections of Mindanao, it will also be rainy due to the effect of the easterly,

00:59the hot wind coming from the Pacific Ocean.

01:02Meanwhile, for Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the country,

01:05the rainy part will continue until the rainy sky.

01:09So we are partly cloudy to cloudy skies today.

01:12If it rains, it will be like isolated thunderstorms for Visayas and Mindanao.

01:18And isolated, dry, weak rains or storms in the cold part of the Luzon area.

01:24For now, we are not being watched by LPAE or storms inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:30But because of the effect of the shear line,

01:32we will be able to experience the rainy weather from today until the upcoming weekend

01:38in a large part of Cabizayaan, as well as in some parts of the Bicol Region.

01:43So be careful, especially for our countrymen, for areas of the Eastern Visayas and Bicol Region,

01:48because those rains are possible to cause floods or landslides.

01:56So the weather will be good today here in Luzon.

01:59Because of the effect of the shear line,

02:01we will still be able to experience cloudy skies with rains,

02:05mostly here in the eastern sections of the Luzon area.

02:09So here in Cagayan Valley, Apayau, Aurora, Quezon, and most parts of Bicol Region,

02:15cloudy skies with rains are possible because of the effect of the shear line.

02:19Meanwhile, here in Sorsogon and Masbate,

02:22scattered rain showers or thunderstorms are possible.

02:25So thunderstorms are possible because of the effect of the shear line.

02:29For the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila,

02:32we will have cloudy-to-cloudy conditions if there are rains.

02:35This is just an indication of heavy or light rains.

02:40Temperature forecast for the surrounding cities here in Luzon.

02:43Outside, it will be playing from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:4829 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures for Tuguegarao at 15 to 24 degrees Celsius.

03:55maximum temperatures will reach 33 degrees Celsius.

03:59For Visayas, maximum temperatures for Iloilo, Cebu,

04:03as well as Tacloban will reach 31 degrees Celsius.

04:06And here in Mindanao, for Zamboanga and Davao Region,

04:09in the Davao area, it is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius.

04:13And in Cagayan de Oro, the temperature will range from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

04:21When it comes to the heat index, yesterday,

04:23the 36 degrees Celsius heat index was recorded here in Metro Manila.

04:28And the highest one was recorded in Coron, Palawan,

04:31Puerto Princesa City, and Zamboanga City,

04:34which reached 42 degrees Celsius.

04:36And it is followed by Katarma Northern, Samar, Davao City,

04:40and Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, which reached 40 degrees Celsius.

04:45As for our forecast for today,

04:48here in Metro Manila, it is possible to reach 36 to 37 degrees Celsius.

04:53And the heat indices for Coron, Palawan,

04:56Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, as well as Zamboanga City,

04:59Zamboanga del Sur, it is possible to reach 42 degrees Celsius,

05:03which is the highest possible that can be recorded today in the whole country.

05:07It is followed by 40 degrees Celsius in Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte,

05:12as well as in Cotabato City, Maguindanao.

05:16As for the condition of our seas,

05:18we have a chance of high waves or gale warnings

05:21in the western seaboards or western coasts of Ilocos Norte

05:25and the seaboards of Ilocos Sur.

05:27So it is dangerous to sail, especially for our countrymen

05:30who have small sea vehicles.

05:32And in the seaboards of Central Luzon,

05:35as well as the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon,

05:38it is possible to experience the heat until the waves rise.
