00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is in support of his administration's continued efforts to maintain peace in the country.

00:07At the same time, he assured the President that the government will not let the rebels return to the government.

00:13This is through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program of the government

00:18where the former rebels are given financial assistance to start a new life and start a new life.

00:26It is estimated that 2,428 applications were received by the National Amnesty Commission from the former rebels who desired a new life.

00:36While visiting Tacloban City, President R. Marcos Jr. prioritized the commitment of the new members of the Local Amnesty Board

00:45and reduced their important role in ensuring peace.

00:50Despite our differences in political ideology, our differences in policy maybe,

01:01but we must always find a way to work through those differences

01:10and to somehow find an area of commonality and a consensus from which we can work and keep the peace

01:20and from which we can work to bring progress to our country.

01:24Now that we have the Amnesty Board here, then there is now a mechanism that is in place for us to bring back into the fold of the law,

01:35into society, those who have opposed the state for a while, for a good long while.
