00:00The Camera passed a resolution as a support to the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:06in the face of the threats and accusations of Vice President Sara Duterte.
00:10House Speaker Martin Romualdez also returned the second president.
00:14The details are in the national news of Mela Las Moras of PTV Manila.
00:18In the plenary session of the Camera,
00:22congressmen strengthened the House Resolution No. 2092
00:27which expressed full support and solidarity of the Camera to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and House Speaker Martin Romualdez
00:35in the midst of the serious attacks against them,
00:39particularly the slander and threats to their lives of Vice President Sara Duterte.
00:45Some lawmakers also expressed their opposition to this.
00:50According to Speaker Romualdez, the vice president's threats were sinister and serious,
00:56so it should not be ignored.
00:59This is no longer a joke.
01:01This is no longer a normal speech.
01:04This is a direct threat to our democracy,
01:07to our security,
01:09and to the security of the country.
01:11Such statement is not just reckless, it is dangerous.
01:15It sends a chilling message to our people.
01:18A message that violence can be contemplated by those in positions of power.
01:24This is not just an affront to the individuals targeted,
01:28it is an attack on the very foundation of our government.
01:32At the same time, Romualdez also denied Duterte's accusation
01:36that he is running again as part of the preparations for the 2028 elections.
01:41The House Speaker challenged that instead of making different statements,
01:45the vice president should just answer the issue
01:48about the misuse of confidential funds.
01:52The issues surrounding confidential and intelligence funds,
01:56the questionable disbursements,
01:58and the lack of transparency demand answers.
02:03We will not tolerate and accept vague explanations and evasive responses.
02:10If you have nothing to hide, why don't you answer the questions?
02:14It is the right of the people to know the truth.
02:18As the last speaker, Speaker Romualdez led the House
02:21in his personal statement of full support for President Marcos
02:25and insisted that they will continue to fight for the truth.
02:30I reaffirm my unwavering support for President Federico R. Marcos Jr.
02:37and his administration.
02:40Together, we will continue to advance reforms and policies
02:44that will lead us to economic recovery, national security,
02:48and a more equitable society.
02:50This fight is not for me, not for you,
02:55but for our country and the future of every Filipino.
