00:00There's something very ugly and very critical happening right now in terms of the narrative

00:06on social security, Medicare and Medicaid.

00:09MAGA is slowly starting to flip the script to actually cutting social security would

00:16be a good thing.

00:18Now, you might remember when Trump and his allies swore we will never cut social security.

00:24Trump made a huge deal out of attacking anyone who even hinted at it.

00:28Paul Ryan, a villain for pushing cuts Democrats, oh, they'll gut social security, even though

00:34of course, in reality, Democrats have consistently said we're going to protect social security.

00:39We're going to expand it.

00:40Never.

00:41Never mind.

00:42Cut the program.

00:43But the script is starting to change.

00:44Fox News is Maria Bartiromo is laying the groundwork to brainwash her audience into

00:51accepting social security cuts, Medicare cuts and Medicaid cuts.

00:56And it used to be we won't cut it.

00:58Then it became we're just cutting fraud.

01:00And like clockwork, it becomes, of course, we're cutting it.

01:04It's good for you that we are cutting it.

01:06Here is how the language is changing.

01:08Listen to Maria screaming on her show about that.

01:10When you start digging, you're going to find it.

01:13I'm wondering if you started digging into Medicare and Medicaid to see if it's all muscle

01:17or if there's fat around the muscle there as well, Mr. Chairman.

01:21You know, I welcome Doge looking at Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the IRS.

01:28They need to be audited.

01:29They need to look at their efficiencies.

01:31They're audited all the time.

01:33Just so people you know, they always love to say we haven't gotten they think nothing

01:37gets audited.

01:38We need to audit the full election.

01:40We need to audit a Social Security that that happens.

01:43It's run actually quite efficiently for its size and they need to to analyze any kind

01:49of fraud within the programs.

01:52Analyze will say that there's not fraud in it.

01:53I would look at just CBO and CBO scores saying medical overpayments within just Medicare

02:02and all those overpayments, Medicaid.

02:05This happens.

02:06These are efficiencies that needs to be rectified.

02:08And I think Doge is leading the effort in that.

02:11And I'm I welcome it.

02:13And that's how we're going to look at efficiencies in government.

02:17By the way, this would make medical bills more expensive because one of the things that

02:23Medicare does is negotiate prices down.

02:27And so when you kneecap Medicare, they are restricted in their ability.

02:32You think prices are going to go up or down?

02:34But this is the Maga bait and switch in action.

02:37First they insist no benefits are going to be cut when you press them.

02:41They say we're going to cut waste and fraud.

02:43Of course, they've still not demonstrated a single dollar that we can say meets the

02:48definition of fraud.

02:50But you give it a little time and suddenly the argument becomes, you know, it's going

02:56to be necessary and fiscally responsible.

03:00You know, if you're a fiscally responsible patriot, you should want us to go in and start

03:06looking around and making adjustments.

03:08And you don't need to wonder, might they use this playbook?

03:11Because we've seen the playbook before.

03:14Remember how Donald Trump's criminal cases went from?

03:17This is a witch hunt.

03:18There's just nothing factual behind this.

03:21Then it went to, okay, he did it, but it shouldn't matter because these really shouldn't even

03:27be crimes.

03:28Oh, all these other people have that have been charged under these same statutes and

03:32laws.

03:33Okay, fine.

03:34It is a crime and he did do it, but it's good that he did it because it was how he was pushing

03:40back against the fake news media and the deep state or whatever.

03:44The shift is denial, minimization, and then you go to the full embrace right now on social

03:51security, Medicare, Medicaid.

03:53They are between minimization and full embrace.

03:56We're only cutting this stuff that you won't notice and employees that don't really need

04:01to be there.

04:02We're minimizing to no, no, no.

04:04These are programs that are really problematic.

04:06We're going to have to dig in.

04:07We're going to have to start cutting.

04:09This is the Republican Party's long game.

04:12You move the goalposts so slowly that the base doesn't notice that they have been manipulated

04:20into cheering for policies that will devastate them.

04:24They did it with Trump's crimes.

04:26They did it with the Trump Russia stuff.

04:28They're doing it with abortion bans and now they are doing it with your retirement.

04:34The worst part is that it always ends the same way.

04:38The last, you know, the epilogue to the story is the same one.

04:44Billionaires end up with tax breaks, an opportunity to swoop in and buy up assets cheaply.

04:50If they're lucky, they get to privatize some stuff and make more money.

04:54And the Fox News hosts who sold you this scam will be sitting pretty with their investments

05:00and their real estate and all of it.

05:03While millions of Americans struggle while accepting what the wealthy Fox News hosts

05:09tell them.

05:10That's what it is.
