00:00At this point of Tirreno-Adriatico, how do you rate your shape?

00:04Yeah, pretty nicely. I'm growing into this race day by day and feeling better and better.

00:09Is today your favorite stage?

00:12Sorry?

00:13On paper, is today your favorite stage?

00:16Yeah, it's a nice stage for me, I think. Only 20k from where I won in the Giro, so for sure it's some nice climbs.

00:23Do you know the climbs? Do you know the walls?

00:27No, I don't, but for sure they're all pretty similar in this area, I think. Just steep and punchy.

00:33Do you expect a stage for the stage or a stage for GC?

00:37Yeah, I think that depends on how the start goes. That's not something that we control.

00:44Davide, what is special with La Tapa dei Muri, the stage of the walls?

00:49Yeah, I think today is going to be a really hard day. It's going to be really challenging already from the beginning,

00:57for breakaway or not breakaway, and then we're going to see on the last circuit how much energy is going to be left on the tank.

01:04What are the ambitions of your team?

01:06Yeah, we are here with Rubio, we are playing with him to try to be top 5 in GC.

01:12I think actually that's possible for him. He lost a little time on TT, but also other competitors have used anti-barrier around him,

01:22so everybody wait tomorrow, thinking tomorrow, maybe from television, but I guess today is going to be a really important day for GC.

01:33Your teammates keep mentioning your name as the team leader, so do we have to believe that?

01:40It's true that I got my opportunity here to do GC, so better make the most out of it, so enjoy it.

01:47But also with Ghana, he's flying at the moment, he's always feeling well in his own country, so why not, he can hang on and also do GC.

01:56Have you asked for this opportunity? Do you think it's time in your career to do something for yourself?

02:01I didn't ask for it, but I'm of course very happy, I think after Algarve, it's the moment to grab my chance in the team,

02:09and I'm really glad that I got this opportunity.

02:13Is it your favourite stage of Tirreno-Adriatico?

02:17That's a good question, I was looking forward to tomorrow's stage actually.

02:20But yeah, I think today is going to be tricky, there's a wind forecast, crosswinds, cross-tailwinds all day,

02:29and a tricky final climb, although it is headwind to the finish, so for sure it's going to be a good day for racing I think.

02:36What is the minimum achievement that you would be happy with at the end of Tirreno-Adriatico?

02:42I think I want to equal or do better than last year, that's for sure.

02:47I think if I can win a stage, that would be super, and then try and get as far as I can in the GC.

02:54Kian, you have reshuffled your ambitions in one-week races, is that correct? How do you feel in this one-week race, Tirreno-Adriatico?

03:03For sure, I have ambition here, and for me it's to get as high as possible GC this week,

03:10and to get the maximum of learnings out of it again, and I can tell you that it was already pretty hectic till now,

03:17with crosswinds, with rain, we had everything till now.

03:21But I'm happy till now, the feeling is good, I could survive all those hectic stages,

03:26which I normally don't like pretty well, and I'm looking forward to today.

03:31And now you have won a stage with Olaf Koid, is it a booster for you guys?

03:35For sure, after yesterday, because yesterday was really hard, on one side with the cold, but also just a hard stage,

03:42and when I heard in the earpiece that Olaf won and saw him cheering, that gave a boost.

03:49For a Mexican climber, how is life in the echelons with the bad weather?

03:55Actually, it was my first time, I didn't try my best, it was a good experience,

03:59I took the field zone, and then the chaos started, and I was there.

04:04At the end, it was a super good attempt, but I was too far off the finish line, but it was good to be there.

04:11Was it a sign that you can do a lot today and tomorrow?

04:15I don't know, we will see on the road, but I expect to be at the front, yeah.

04:20What's the goal with Juan Ayuso?

04:23Of course, the main goal is to win the race.

04:28Would it be risky to wait until tomorrow?

04:33I don't know, the road puts everybody in his position, and we try to play good and enjoy the day.

04:40Now it's a sunny day, it's good, but we will see tomorrow and today how it is.
