00:00Some congressmen have called for the government to re-examine the current situation of the former President Duterte,

00:08where they insisted that it was not just the ICC but Interpol that was in control of the government.

00:19Some congressmen have called for Senator Ronald Bato de la Rosa to face his case.

00:27This is in line with what the senator said, that he felt that he was forced to leave the scene.

00:34According to House Deputy Minority Leader Franz Castro,

00:37President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr. did the right thing in assisting the Interpol administration

00:44in arresting the former President Rodrigo Duterte on the basis of a warrant of arrest from the International Criminal Court.

00:53Castro did not agree with what Senator Ronald Bato de la Rosa said,

00:57that he felt betrayed to the max because the administration promised that it will not cooperate with the ICC.

01:05Castro's argument was that justice should be prioritized.

01:12In a separate statement, House Assistant Majority Leaders Ernest Dionisio and Jay Cong Hun

01:18stated that it was not the ICC that cooperated with the administration, but Interpol.

01:25The government repeatedly explained this,

01:28so I hope our countrymen will understand that our relationship with the international community is more important.

01:36Let's listen to the part of the statement of the lawmakers.

02:41So, our country and our President maintain our relationship with Interpol.

02:47I don't know where Senator Bato came from, but he needs to face the cases.

02:57We are a country that governs by certain rules.

03:03We need to face the cases that are filed against us and no one is exempted from that.
