00:00The state kidnapping of former President Duterte was answered by Palacio.

00:05Clazel Pardilla is live in the Central News.

00:11Angelique, there was no kidnapping in the arrest and sending of former President Rodrigo Duterte to the Netherlands last night.

00:20That was the return of Malacanang in Paratang by Vice President Sara Duterte

00:25that the state kidnapping happened to her father.

00:31At 11 o'clock last night, the former President Duterte flew to Dahig to face the case of Crimes Against Humanity

00:40that was filed by the International Criminal Court in connection with Duterte's bloody fight against drugs

00:46while he was sitting as a former president and extrajudicial killings when he was the mayor of Davao City.

00:54According to Palacio, the kidnapping was taken by force by an unauthorized person.

00:59That's why Malacanang asked, how can it be a kidnapping if Duterte has a warrant of arrest?

01:08It was issued by an authority, by the court.

01:14If there is an issuance of any order from the court, we have to comply.

01:21Especially for us, what happened was through Interpol.

01:24I did not see any kidnapping. We have completed our papers.

01:29The ICC asked for help from the International Criminal Police Organization of Interpol

01:35where the Philippines is a member and has an obligation.

01:38Malacanang was forced to undergo a standard operating procedure to travel to the former president

01:45to avoid being exposed to the condition of Duterte.

01:48He was treated well by the former president.

01:51He also has a lawyer as security personnel and a nurse to support his condition.

01:58Malacanang argued that Duterte's arrest was a result of his refusal to comply with the ICC's notice.

02:08They were given one year to act on the alleged complaints.

02:14But there was no action.

02:16If there was a lack, and they said they were not given due process,

02:21they were the ones who turned away from their right to listen to the prosecutor.

02:30First, the palace said that it will ensure peace and order.

02:35And it encouraged those who called to be critical of Duterte's case.

02:44This is not just a made up story.

02:49There are victims.

02:51This is not evidence.

02:55The case did not come from the Philippines.

02:58This case is pending in the ICC.
