00:02:51Need to win the exterior challenge. I know that ending three of three would drive Tariq absolutely crazy

00:02:57You know the yard could just get out of control and I can't have it do that
00:03:00So we need to really figure out budget the exterior is definitely gonna add at least fifty thousand dollars to the budget
00:03:08I really need to keep my budget under three hundred thousand if I have any chance of beating Tariq and Heather

00:04:04We're gonna take what the house sold for calculate the return on investment and whoever has the highest is the winner

00:05:13We used to watch Jeff Lewis on flipping out before Tariq and I even started house flipping

00:05:35Four months ago, we bought this house super last-minute. We knew the front and backyard would take more work than any part of the house
00:05:44The whole backyard was filled with tons of rock brick and cement
00:05:50moving all of that cost of fortune
00:05:54Having a sleek exterior at the end could make or break the sale of this house, but it can get really expensive really fast
00:06:06The backyard was disgusting when I got this flip and I was absolutely terrified of what they were gonna find when they dredge the board
00:06:16We drained it a lot of cement was cracked and compromised so it had to go
00:06:22With the backyard demo done the front of the house needs a lot of work
00:06:25But I see potential in the roofline and I know I can make it all look great

00:06:38We've spent so much more money on this house than anticipated
00:06:41So we're gonna be checking in with our contractor the original plan that we had for the exterior is definitely gonna have to be scaled back

00:06:56You have a raised wood deck around the whole pool. You have a really cool bar. You have an outdoor shower

00:07:39The front of the house is a bit blah so we'd like to make it special with wood veneer to match the new fence
00:07:45We hope cutting back on some extras will bring our budget down to a hundred thousand dollars
00:07:50Making the outside gorgeous is essential for attracting the high-end buyer that we need

00:09:04So having some green area for the kids and pets to run around is essential for our buyer
00:09:08The pool will be resurfaced and we'll add a pretty checkerboard tile
00:09:13Once we finish all of the repair work on this deco will paint the house a crisp white
00:09:17Which is a little trick to make the house appear larger than it is
00:09:21Hopefully we don't have to replace the wall and we could just paint it to match
00:09:23I am exercising a ton of self-control by not adding all the bells and whistles
00:09:29But it's all gonna be worth it when I win the highest return on investment. I

00:09:39To start our design we need to clear out the brick patio around the pool and break down the brick walls make room for our

00:09:50We're gonna frame the pool to get ready for coping that would be poured around the edge run you back there
