00:00Hello there, good morning. More sunshine on its way over the weekend before it turns cold
00:05into next week. To start off with though, quite cloudy across parts of Scotland, some
00:10rain lingering for a time, particularly across Shetland through the middle part of the morning.
00:14Also can't rule out some showers across southern parts of Wales, parts of Devon and Cornwall,
00:18but they should be fairly light and fairly isolated. More in the way of high cloud, which
00:23might just make the sunshine look a little bit milky, but for many it's going to be a
00:27dry day. Plenty of blue skies to go around and take a look at those temperatures too,
00:31widely above average for the time of year, particularly across northern parts of England,
00:35highs of 18, possibly 19 or 20 Celsius, where we see the best of the sunshine. Then through
00:42into the evening, we'll see a mix of cloud and some clearer spells, turning a little
00:47bit chilly under the clearest skies, perhaps some patchy fog too. Still some higher cloud
00:51across northern parts of Scotland, still the odd shower. Similarly across parts of the
00:55southwest, some cloud here, but still very mild for the time of year. Still finding ourselves
01:00in between two frontal systems, so warm sector, which means a mild start once again as we
01:05head into Sunday. So some patchy fog, mist perhaps to start this clearing fairly quickly
01:11and once again, it's going to be a dry day on offer. Still those blue skies sticking
01:16around away from northern Scotland though, catching the short straw here, cloudier with
01:21some outbreaks of rain, but this mainly confined to the far north of Scotland and elsewhere,
01:26seeing a dry day. Highs once again, 17, 18, 19 Celsius possible, where we see the brightest
01:32skies. Into next week though, we're going to start to feel a bit of a change, high pressure
01:38around Iceland, bringing in a northerly flow of air and that means it's going to be turning
01:43colder. We could potentially see some sleet and snow to higher ground, but there's going
01:48to be lots of dry weather around too. Turning cold overnight however, likely to see more
01:52of those frosty mornings return and still feeling a little bit chilly by day too. So
01:57enjoy the warm sunshine this weekend while it's here. Bye bye.
