00:00There are a lot of options to start, we just need to be open in our business, I've tried this.
00:06Yes, take risks because if you don't, you're not going to get out of your comfort zone.
00:11It's hard to enter this kind of field.
00:14But anyway, Audrey, from business, we're here in the world of pageantry.
00:17Beauty pageants are a good platform for women to express their advocacy.
00:24Also to give inspiration to other women.
00:28That's right, bro. It's International Women's Day.
00:32We're here with the 2024 Miss Queen of the World Philippines, Kate Constantino.
00:37Good morning, Kate, and happy International Women's Month.
00:41Good morning.
00:42Good morning. Yeah, that's working.
00:44That's working. Good morning, Phi Phi and Audrey.
00:47Thank you for having me here.
00:49Thank you for being with us this morning.
00:50Of course, Kate, tell us about this Queen of the World.
00:55Queen of the World is a new generation pageant.
00:58It's advocacy-based.
01:01We have four categories, from 18 to 29 years old is the Miss category, which is M-I-S-S.
01:09And then my category is 30 and above, usually single moms and married.
01:16And then we have the Misses.
01:18And then we have the Elite, which is 50 plus.
01:21So all of them are in one pageant.
01:28And it doesn't really, they don't look at physical outlook.
01:34As you can see, I have full sleeves.
01:36I haven't seen a candidate with full sleeves or whether you're voluptuous or something.
01:43What matters is, what are you doing to help women?
01:48Are you bringing advocacy to people?
01:52Yes.
01:52Well, you mentioned advocacy.
01:54May we know what advocacy you have?
01:56Well, before joining this Miss Queen of the World, since it's an advocacy-based,
02:02I already have a non-profit organization, which is Empowered Women PH.
02:09So that's women empowerment.
02:12We help women with their mental challenges.
02:16So we're focused on mental health, especially for me as a single mom.
02:20It's so hard.
02:21You know, if you're not mentally healthy, I could say,
02:27it has a domino effect because it's going to affect your kids.
02:30So that's during, especially during the pandemic, I feel for the single mom who lost their jobs.
02:39They're still single moms.
02:40So I wanted to help them with coping with the mental challenges that they're encountering
02:46during the pandemic.
02:47Okay, let's go deeper into this.
02:48So what activities are you doing when it comes to mental challenges of the women?
02:53We do coaching.
02:55I do motivational talks as well.
02:58And not only to women, but also to teenagers, to kids with regards to early pregnancy,
03:06early marriage, you know.
03:08And with women, I did Bawal Bastos Law during the Women's Month.
03:15Yeah, it's a space-based act.
03:16So, yeah.
03:18Well, there are many women who are being abused because of lack of education, right?
03:23Yeah.
03:24How do you help those women who are being abused by their ex-husbands
03:31so that they can reach the right authority?
03:35Yeah.
03:35Well, actually, we're collaborating with the government, which is VAWSI,
03:40Violence Against Women and Children.
03:42So, sometimes it's hard, you know, with women.
03:48And then you talk to them.
03:50Unfortunately, they're still coming back.
03:56But then, it's very important for empowered women to educate first.
04:03Because there are many who are being abused because of lack of education.
04:08Their self-love, their self-respect, we need to empower them.
04:14So, that's where Empowered Women PH comes in.
04:17Then, education.
04:19Then, they need to apply what they've learned.
04:23Encourage.
04:24And then, that's where they are empowered.
04:27All right.
04:28Since it's International Women's Day,
04:30if there's one word that would describe you as a woman, what would it be?
04:33Resilient.
04:34Resilient.
04:35I mean, to be an empowered woman, as a single mom, I must be resilient.
04:43I have three.
04:44Okay.
04:44And I have one grandchild.
04:52I have 27, 26, and 13 years old.
04:55Okay.
04:57So, it's like a statistic.
04:5927, 26.
05:03That's the age of my kids.
05:06I want this advocacy, not only as my advocacy, but my legacy.
05:11I want to pass it on to my kids.
05:13I have two girls and one son.
05:16All right.
05:16Well, the International Competition is coming up.
05:20How's your preparation?
05:21Preparation, of course, strict diet.
05:25And then, I have to learn to walk.
05:30Because this is my first time to join this international pageant.
05:33And pageant, per se.
05:35And you have to wear six-inches heels.
05:37So, you have to try to...
05:40You can do it.
05:41I hope so.
05:42So, invite our viewers to support you on your journey.
05:46Well, I would like to invite all of you to please follow my journey.
05:54Representing the Philippines on May 5 to 10 at New York.
06:00So, they'll be going live on Instagram.
06:03So, please...
06:03Okay.
06:04What's the social media accounts of that?
06:06And also, your social media accounts.
06:08Queen of the World pageant.
06:10So, Instagram.
06:11That's because in the US, Instagram is very famous.
06:14So, Queen of the World pageant.
06:17Please follow them as well.
06:20And follow my...
06:21Sockman.
06:22My page.
06:24Facebook.
06:24Empowered Women PH.
06:27Good luck to you, Keita.
06:28Thank you so much.
06:29Thank you for having me.
06:30I really appreciate it.
06:32Of course.
