00:00Hello there welcome to your Wednesday evening weather update from the Met
00:04Office. Weather fronts will just come and go across the country over the next
00:07few days into the weekend but for most we'll see some dry and fine weather and
00:11that's certainly the case on Thursday. This weather front here tends to ease
00:15towards the far northwest still breezy into Thursday and also warm before we
00:19see some showery rain just extend across the country and into Friday turning a
00:24bit colder across Scotland and Northern Ireland but some fine weather and then
00:27into the weekend a mix of clouds and sunshine showery bursts particularly
00:31through Saturday. Sunday we'll see an improving picture across many areas. Now
00:36for the time being clearer skies across England and Wales not as cold as last
00:40night lowest temperatures 1 to 3 degrees Celsius in rural Wales. Notice dry skies
00:45also for Northern Ireland as that rain retreats and it's certainly going to
00:49retreat across central parts of Scotland but always Western Scotland seeing some
00:54persistent rain into the early hours of Thursday morning as that rain extends
00:59towards the far north and northwest. Now winds are changing direction it's going
01:03to be a relatively warm day on Thursday before that though lowest temperatures
01:07as I said rural spots towards the south 7 or 8 across more northern areas. So a
01:13bit of a wet start to the day across the northwest of Scotland the Western Isles.
01:17Notice this rain is clearing mainland Scotland for many though it's a bright
01:21morning with some lovely sunshine broken clouds for Northern Ireland as
01:24well as Scotland before later on notice a few showers break out across Wales. Now
01:30they'll extend towards northwestern parts of England southern parts of
01:34Scotland the West Midlands as well at the same time we'll see a little rain
01:37moving in across Northern Ireland. Temperatures in any sunshine coming in
01:42around 13 or 14 across Scotland and Northern Ireland 16 or 17 in shelter
01:48across England and Wales. So a warm day on the cards across many areas bit
01:53blustery in places but even so pleasant to be out and about with some blue sky
01:57and sunshine. But through the evening these showers continue their passage
02:00northwards. This is a weather front here which eventually will push across
02:04Scotland bringing some patchy rain and that showery rain continues into the
02:08early hours of Friday morning across England and Wales. Clearer skies then
02:12through Friday across Scotland and Northern Ireland as we head through the
02:15day 11 or 12 degrees Celsius. Showery rain continues across the Midlands
02:19Northern England brighter skies across the extreme east of England. So here's
02:23your bigger picture into Friday. Notice weather fronts always close by but we'll
02:27have some sunshine in between and showery bursts continue their passage
02:31northwards through Saturday and into Sunday. It's a breezy day on Sunday but
02:35for most it's bright with some sunshine before the onset of more showery rain
02:39towards the south and we hang on to some wet weather across the far north of
02:43Scotland. Here's your outlook then through Saturday. Yes temperatures
02:46generally speaking around 13 to 16 degrees Celsius as that wet weather
02:50eventually clears northwards. So some sunshine in its wake. I'll see you later.
