David Moyes can maximise Beto’s impact at Everton by focusing on his strengths—physicality, aerial dominance, and hold-up play. A direct, counter-attacking approach with quality service from wide areas would suit the striker, allowing him to thrive on crosses and through balls. Improving his link-up play with midfielders and wingers, alongside consistent game time, would help build confidence. Additionally, refining his finishing and movement in the box through targeted coaching could enhance his goal threat. Moyes’ ability to instill discipline and tactical awareness would also be key in unlocking Beto’s full potential.

00:00Well, looking at Everton and Beto, of course, I've had a lot of critics throughout the season.
00:10We spoke a few times and you said that personally you don't really see what the sort of critics
00:14were for. We spoke about that thankless task of being that solo striker under Sean Dyche
00:20and how tough it was for him and the likes of Calvert-Lewin as well. What's sort of changed
00:26because he's really flourishing, he's in top form at the moment across the league as well.
00:30I mean, it seems like he's really taken well under David Moyes and this sort of adjustment
00:36of style. Why do you feel that he's sort of flourishing now and how happy are you for
00:42him? Obviously, you sort of backed him from the very start.
00:45Yeah, I just don't think he's ever really had a chance to be honest with you and he
00:49hasn't had a chance to play to his strengths really. When he's come off the bench, I've
00:54always quite liked him off the bench because he caused a little bit of havoc. But when
00:58he started games in the Premier League, previously he was seldom under Sean Dyche, but he's not
01:07someone who wants to play as back-to-goal, he's not a hold-up striker. He's someone who
01:12is very much based on movement, wants balls in the channels and if he gets a chance, he's
01:18a really composed finisher and we've seen that now. The way that David Moyes has given
01:23him service, they're making sure that they're getting the ball to his feet in front of him
01:28that he can run onto, cause a little bit of havoc. His goal in the derby against Liverpool
01:35was a really composed finisher, especially in the circumstances, in all the magnitudes
01:39of the game. Then I thought his finish against Crystal Palace was excellent, the way he just
01:43dinked the keeper with the defender coming on. It took a little bit of a deflection on
01:47the defender but I think he's probably weighed down on the ball. The defender might nick
01:51this but it's probably going to go in some way. He has been someone who has struggled
01:59and maybe had some critics, some harsh critics, maybe been mocked a little bit from sexist
02:08supporters and from the outside as well. It's been difficult for him if you're not playing
02:13through to his strengths and that's what David Moyes has been doing now. The question is
02:19can he continue it now because a lot of players do get that new manager bounce. Can Beto continue
02:27this streak for the rest of the season? There's 12-13 games to go, can he score another five
02:34goals? If he does that, I think you say you're going to next season. I think he could potentially
02:40be our first-tree centre-forward because he's proven it. He's revived his Evan career and
02:46a lot of fans will be delighted for him because he has always had great application, Beto.
02:52He maybe has lacked a little bit of quality at times but he's never shown any attitude problems.
