Rain moving across the southeast and east of England in the early afternoon clearing from the west, then scattered showers possible across much of the UK. Northwestern areas seeing the worst of the showers, some heavy. Hail, snow and a risk of thunder possible, especially across the Scottish highlands. A bright afternoon for many of us however, more so in England and Wales.
Fresh to strong winds in the north. Feeling cooler than yesterday but with temperatures still above average for this time of the year.

00:00Hello there, good afternoon. Another day of sunny spells and showers but a slightly
00:05damper start to the day across parts of the southeast. Taking a look at the
00:08latest radar we can see that rain slowly easing away here for a time but plenty
00:13of showers moving through into northwestern parts of the country. That
00:17theme is set to continue as we head into this afternoon. Any rain across parts of
00:22Sussex and Kent eventually easing away leading to a much brighter afternoon and
00:26it's actually going to be quite a bright afternoon for many of us though we can't
00:29rule out a few showers particularly across the northwest. These still
00:33continuing, these could be heavy at times with some hail and thunder perhaps even
00:37bringing a sprinkling of snow to the Scottish Highlands and then the odd
00:40shower or two bubbling up across the rest of England and Wales but lots of
00:44sunshine around, lots of dry weather and a slight dip in temperatures compared to
00:48yesterday but still widely above average for the time of year. Highs of around 10
00:52to 11 Celsius across the south. Then into the overnight period still a fair few
00:58showers to start once again particularly across the far northwest
01:01but eventually particularly across eastern areas these showers will die
01:04away leaving to plenty of clear skies overnight and that means temperatures
01:08will soon dip away possibly even seeing some frost by the time we reach the
01:12morning particularly across the northeastern parts of Scotland where we
01:15see the clearest skies but a different story in parts of the west. Clouds
01:19spilling in here and some outbreaks of quite heavy rain at times particularly
01:22across Northern Ireland, parts of Wales and parts of Devon and Cornwall by the
01:26time we reach the morning so quite a wet start here but elsewhere brighter but
01:30feeling chilly. Then as we head into tomorrow this cloud and outbreaks
01:35of rain slowly shifting their way eastwards erratically across the country
01:39once again could bring some heavy spells of rain at times it will start to turn a
01:43little bit brighter as this clears through though it may linger for a time
01:45across parts of the southeast but you can still see once again plenty of
01:49showers on the cards once again may even bring a sprinkling of snow across parts
01:53of the Pennines some hail possibly even some thunder and turning fairly windy
01:57too as this feature moves through so once again a still good good deal of
02:01showers on the cards perhaps not as dry as it may look this afternoon and
02:05temperatures once again taking a slight dip highs of around 10 to 11 Celsius
02:09across the south but feeling chillier across Scotland highs of only around 6 to
02:137 Celsius here. Then as we head towards the end of the week any rain eventually
02:19clearing away and then high pressure building out to the Atlantic eventually
02:23stretching across the country for Thursday and Friday so that means plenty
02:26of dry weather on the cards though it's likely going to be turning quite chilly
02:30particularly on Friday morning where we could see quite a widespread frost
02:33otherwise that's it for me bye bye
