The late professor John Merriman communicated with his students through eye contact and direct conversation, as you can see from the source from which this re-edit is derived. While an eminent scholar he was not a structured speaker. So in this re-edit I have added an intro and an outro, removed digressions and restructured his lecture. I release this under the same creative commons license as the original. However, it is not necessary to credit historyradio.org or Michael Henrik Wynn, but you should credit Yale and professor Merriman, and for their sake make clear that they are not responsible for the re-edit.
