00:00UMNO joined the protest against the proposal to create a ministerial position on non-Islamic religious issues

00:06by claiming that all non-Islamic leaders in the government have agreed not to violate the institution's decree on the status of Islam.

00:14Siti Usul Agung UMNO Ashraf Wajidi Dusuki claimed that an agreement had been signed by non-Islamic leaders

00:21from each component party in the coalition government.

00:24It is clear that the contents of the agreement include not at all violating the coalition institution in relation to the status of Islam,

00:31the specialization of the Malay of the holy land, the sovereignty of the king and the Malay language as the official language.

00:37In an interview on Facebook, Ashraf said UMNO's position that there is no need to create a ministerial position on other religious issues

00:44because it is under the jurisdiction of the Minister of the Assembly.

00:48He said that there is no provision in the coalition institution that provides a special rule on religious affairs other than Islam

00:55and claimed that the only way to implement the position is by moving the institution.
