00:00Former Minister of Law, Zaid Ibrahim, urged the Ministry of Religious Affairs to take a stand

00:06to stop the sexual exploitation of men's children in orphanages

00:10which are controlled by religious organizations and do not require halal registration for food shops.

00:17In the Dx report, Zaid said that many young men have suffered trauma and have been exploited throughout Malaysia.

00:23However, the Minister of Religious Affairs is only interested in halal registration.

00:28He referred to a statement made by the Minister of Justice, Naim Muhtar Barbaro,

00:32that the Ministry of Religious Affairs is considering requiring halal registration for restaurants and food suppliers.

00:40Zaid suggested that security officers be placed at all religious and religious schools,

00:44as well as the Ministry of Religion and Moral Police monitoring sexual exploitation cases.

00:49He also urged the Ministry of Security to set aside part of the RM1.5 billion from the government's budget

00:55to cover up the exploitation as a warning to Muslims that Islam takes that crime seriously.

01:02He also suggested that the Supreme Court increase the prosecution of cases involving men's children

01:08and urge the leaders to take immediate action to protect them.

01:12Zaid's statement emerged in the middle of the issue of 20 orphanages in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan,

01:18where children were reported to have been abused or taught to sexually assault others.
