00:00And at this point, we will discuss the update on the current programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the Go.

00:25First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the 2025 League of Municipalities of the Philippines or LMP General Assembly.

00:36The LMP is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that includes all municipalities in the Philippines.

00:44Under the leadership of President Marcos Jr. of the LMP General Assembly, he recognized the important role of municipal mayors in governing and assessing local government units in improving fiscal discipline and transparency.

01:02Our President also recognized that mayors are the first responders in meeting the needs of our fellow countrymen.

01:10He understands the strengths and limitations of his countrymen.

01:15That is why these programs can be implemented to meet the real needs of their constituents.

01:23The President also recognized the ongoing progress in local governance and the fact that many LGUs are receiving the Seal of Good Local Governance.

01:36The President also mentioned that the contribution of mayors in developing and promoting key legislation such as the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act and the Automatic Income Classification of Local Government Units Act.

01:50These laws ensure better governance for the management of real properties and for a fairer system in financing local governments.

02:00Meanwhile, local chief executives organized Island Cluster Conferences to localize the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals

02:09to align local programs to global sustainability and development targets.

02:15The President also emphasized that the nature of the government is evolving.

02:19It has shifted the drivers of economic progress from traditional industries to innovation-based services.

02:25It has accelerated the development of technology and the impact of climate change.

02:30The public can rely on an efficient, responsive, and inclusive government.
