00:00Looking at Everton and their injury crisis as of late, we've mentioned that the forward
00:07line has really struggled. It's quite strange how there's been a bit of a resurgence in
00:12the goals despite the injuries continuing under David Moyes and especially from the
00:18forward line. Is there any sign of return as of late and what sort of latest you can
00:24give us in terms of Everton injuries this season?
00:27Yeah, it's not looking good to be honest. I asked David Moyes before the derby about
00:34Dwight McNeil who had minor knee surgery earlier this month but he said that it's looking roughly
00:43six weeks for Dwight McNeil which is a massive blow because he's been out since the start
00:49of December with a knee injury which I don't think there was a lot of concern about at
00:54the time. It was described as maybe a niggly injury but it just didn't get any better and
01:02eventually he had to go under the knife. Maybe in hindsight he should have had an operation
01:06beforehand but both the medical team obviously thought that McNeil, the way he's reacting,
01:11probably thought that was not too bad but that's a blow. Armando Brogia looks like he's
01:18going to be back a little bit early in that initial time frame when he's stretched off
01:23with an ankle injury against Peterborough. I think it was 10 to 12 weeks so you're looking
01:27at the start of April, maybe a couple of weeks before that potentially. Dominic Calvert-Lewins
01:34is a big one. He obviously suffers a serious hamstring injury. If he gets back for the last
01:44few weeks of the season I think that's a good aim for him. I think he will play again this season
01:49but again with Calvert-Lewins it's a case of if there's a few games left, if touch was ever
01:55safe does he look at it and think, well do I risk it because I'm out of contract at the end of the
02:00season or do I build my fitness up and if I'm not staying in Everton, which at the moment it's
02:05looking like he'll be leaving, then he might want to go and he might be erring on the side of
02:11caution. Nathan Paterson is a little bit of a disappointing one. He's had a minor issue,
02:17hasn't played a lot, he's come off the bench for more than a couple of times with a minor
02:21hamstring injury. Hopefully he'll be back pretty soon. Yusef Chimisi, the young striker who hasn't
02:28played a game all season, suffered a three-foot injury on the eve of the campaign and he's now
02:35working his way back from a fire issue. You're probably going to think that he's going to be
02:38playing for the U21s. James Cole just hasn't managed to stay fit all season, he's been
02:44struggling with his calf and he's got a real decision on what he does with his future now at
02:50the end of the season, whether he wants to carry on playing or not. He's been an absolute warrior
02:55for Everton down the years but he has had a couple of long-term injuries. It's not great,
03:01the injury situation for David Moyes, especially in the final fair, but Everton made that decision
03:07in January. They didn't think there was a striker available and I think you can understand why.
03:14They didn't go and get one.
