00:00Update on the current administration's programs here in Mr. President On The Go.

00:22Firstly, fellow countrymen, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, or UAE, are working together

00:28to expand their trade cooperation to strengthen the economic relations of the two countries.

00:35UAE Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaydi visited President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:44to discuss how to strengthen trade and investment opportunities for the Philippines and UAE.

00:52According to President Marcos Jr., Al Suwaydi's visit shows the commitment of the two countries

00:59to help and strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and the UAE.

01:05He is happy that there are many areas that the two countries can explore.

01:10UAE Minister Al Suwaydi said that the UAE is introducing Filipino nurses to their excellent patient care in the UAE.

01:19He also showed that the relationship between the UAE and the Philippines is very close.

01:23In 2023, UAE is the 18th largest trading partner of the Philippines

01:28where the approved investments from UAE reached P376.71 million pesos.

01:35The priority sectors for investment promotion in UAE are active business, agriculture,

01:39energy efficiency technologies, and renewable energy.

01:43Infrastructure, public-private partnership projects, innovation, AI, information technology, and business process management.

01:50On November 30, 2023, the Department of Trade and Industry and the UAE Ministry of Investment

01:57signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop high-capacity data center projects in the Philippines.

02:05Some UAE companies are requesting to invest in data centers in our country.

02:11Meanwhile, on January 15, 2025, the Department of Energy, Board of Investments, and Masdar

02:19signed an implementation agreement to develop solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems in our country.

02:26If we remember, on November 24, President Marcos visited the UAE

02:32where he helped President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

02:36and the President came to thank the Filipino community in the UAE.

02:41They also agreed to expand cooperation between the UAE and the Philippines.
