00:00This is the latest update on the current administration's programs here in Mr. President on the Go.

00:20First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. introduced those who know how to pay their taxes as an important part of our country's development.

00:33Our President attended the official launch of the 2025 National Tax Campaign of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

00:41The National Tax Campaign kick-off is an important event in the annual calendar of the Bureau of Internal Revenue

00:47that serves as the official start of the agency's activities to empower the taxpayers who voluntarily follow the payment of taxes.

00:57On the topic of taxes, we are all winners.

01:00The campaign aims to strengthen the public's support for the proper payment of taxes as part of the economic recovery and development of the Philippines.

01:09Along with the launch, the agency also strengthened its directorate in various sectors to ensure that every peso collected will be directly used to strengthen the country's economy.

01:22According to BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagi Jr., the role of taxpayers is important in the development of our country's economy.

01:31The event of the Tax Awareness Month, Tax Education, and the strengthening of the public's support for the proper payment of taxes is also important.

01:43Throughout the month, the agency will hold seminars, information drives, stakeholders, media, and engagements to further correct the public's mistakes in paying taxes.

01:54Commissioner Lumagi also thanked all law-abiding taxpayers.

01:58He also strengthened the dedication of the agency to improve the service to the taxpayers, to address tax evaders, and to ensure a fair and clear tax system.

02:08He also gave the BIR cheat that the BIR will remain firm in its mission to build a stronger and more self-sufficient Philippines.
