00:20The second National Immunization Summit 2025 is ongoing.

00:25At the same time, some international organizations invited the Department of Health

00:34in their efforts to strengthen the vaccination program in the Philippines.

00:42The Department of Health invited UNICEF and WHO to strengthen the vaccination program in the Philippines.

00:50This is a study that was presented at the summit and 93 percent of the people believed that vaccines are effective against vaccine preventable disease.

01:08The milestone accomplishments of DOH in their immunization program were also presented at the summit.

01:29Promoting of course the vaccination drive and to eliminate those diseases that can be eliminated using the vaccine.

01:39We will continue to strengthen the program of vaccination in each country.

01:44I want to congratulate the Department of Health in galvanizing partner efforts in strengthening the national immunization program.

01:53We would also like to thank our partners from USAID, the Australian government, and the government of Canada

02:01for making this gathering of like-minded health officials, healthcare workers, and experts and advocates possible.

02:11I have had the privilege of working in the Philippines for the last three years.

02:16So I recall about a year and a half ago standing before you, and many of you, as we put together the first summit.

02:27It was in August of 2023, pledging UNICEF's tireless support for our mission.

02:34That every child, no matter where they are, is protected from vaccine-preventable diseases so that they grow up reaching their full potential.

02:46Joshua, yesterday was the summit, and today, medical experts and sectors from different parts of the country and overseas were invited.

02:53This year, the two summits are the theme of assuring self-protecting immunization for every Filipino family

02:59because in the new era of the Philippines, every life is important. Joshua.
