00:22She was fined Php 100,000 for introducing a person to a hospital in Manila.

00:28In the story of the victim, her husband was already discharged yesterday.

00:32He was confined to the hospital last month after he suffered a heart attack.

00:37But because they still have a lot to pay for the professional fee of the scammer doctor,

00:42they tried to talk to him.

00:44Until he received a call and said that he will give a discount on the professional fee for the two doctors.

00:51Their transaction was online.

00:53He introduced me to Mariela M. Delacruz.

01:02My husband knows the doctor very well.

01:08That's why we believed that we can get a discount.

01:11She sent it to us.

01:12The victims believed it quickly because one of the doctors has their account number

01:17and they transferred the money.

01:19But when one of the nurses of the hospital called the doctor,

01:22they found out that the victim was talking to a scammer.

01:26They went to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Division to trace the scammer.

01:31The victim's problem now is how to get funds to get his wife out of the hospital.

01:37Their balance is Php 500,000.

01:41It will be added while they are staying in the hospital.

01:46They are not receiving a guarantee letter from the hospital

01:50and they don't have collateral to make a promissory note.

01:54The stress that they are bringing to us, that we are still staying in the hospital,

01:59is making it harder for us.
