00:00Former DAP leader, Ronnie Liu, was appointed minister at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Naim Mokhtar,

00:08replaced after he was criticized for the lack of guidelines for Muslims attending non-Muslim gatherings.

00:16Liu said, this is not the first time Naim has raised the issue of religious affairs.

00:22Criticizing the prohibition in September to require halal food for all food companies that do not serve pork or alcohol.

00:35According to the former DAP leader, Naim was described as a minister who failed to understand the character,

00:43reality and sensitivity of the people in this country.

00:48Yesterday, Naim stated that the guidelines for the involvement of Muslims in non-Muslim gatherings

00:57as well as visits to non-Muslim gatherings are still in the process of being implemented.

01:04In defending the guidelines, Naim said it was arranged with a pure intention and only as advice,

01:13with the aim of fostering social harmony and culture while ensuring the participation of Muslims in such events

01:20does not spark controversy or violate religious sensitivity.
