00:00Yes guys, how's it going? I'm Henry Bryant, a reporter for Sussex World that covers the Albion
00:04and I've just been to the pre-match press conference as Albion are set to take on
00:09Nottingham Forest in a Premier League fixture and speaking to Fabian Hösler, one of the
00:14questions that I was asking him and a main topic of this wasn't to do with the actual game but the
00:20future of the young Irishman Evan Ferguson and he said that he sees Evan Ferguson being a real
00:27long-term player for Brighton and he's spoken to the player, he said that Evan wants to play
00:32whether that's here or somewhere else. I feel like a decision will be made before the end of
00:38the January transfer window in terms of whether he will be someone that goes out on loan or goes out
00:44and actually gets sold on a permanent deal. Brighton fans on social media are taking to say
00:50that they want to see him still at this club at the end of the January transfer window and a lot
00:55of fans are telling us that a loan with no option to buy would be a really good option for the Albion.
01:00I posed that to Fabian Hösler and he said that he thinks that Brighton is one of the best places
01:06to be in terms of development, moulding a player and honing talent. He also mentioned that we all
01:12know about Evan Ferguson's potential but now he has to prove it. Evan was also injured and it looks
01:18like he will be coming back soon with Fabian telling us that he has been training this week
01:23and in terms of profile the Brighton head coach really likes Evan Ferguson. He thinks that it's
01:28a rare type of player to have and even a rare type of player to have in the market so he really does
01:34think that Evan will be staying at the club or at least he'd like him to be staying at the club.
01:40There's a lot of transfer gossip going around West Ham in the mix. There's even a few teams abroad
01:46that are looking at Evan Ferguson and even trying to see if they can find a permanent deal and in
01:51terms of this game he thinks that Nottingham Forest has been the biggest surprise in the Premier
01:56League so far this season. He said there's always one team that seems to surpass expectations and
02:02this year it is Nottingham Forest. They're going to be a real test for the Albion and he said that
02:07he really likes their build-up play. He also just likes the way they set up their team and approach
02:13games. In terms of how the last game went, a 1-0 defeat to Everton at home, I asked Fabian Hösler
02:18if he thinks that that fiery sort of confrontation near the end will play any impact into this game.
02:26Also with the fact that against Nottingham Forest last time out Brighton also had a few
02:31confrontational moments during that end of the game. He said that that's just part of football
02:36and he thinks that that will not play into the game and he's also liable when it comes to that
02:41sort of thing to get emotional in games. Another talking point was Jorginho Ruta who hasn't started
02:47many games recently but has made appearances off the bench and he is being looked at to be in the
02:52starting lineup in the future a little bit more. Fabian Hösler was saying after a question was
02:57posed to him about whether Ruta, the Frenchman, deserves to be in that starting XI squad.
03:03Valentin Barko even got mentioned and Fabian Hösler said that Sevilla isn't the right environment for
03:09him and he'll need to move on. It'll be interesting to see whether he sees him in his plans maybe as a
03:15rotation player or if he's going to be sent straight back on loan to another team. Another player that's
03:21got lots of high potential and could be a real star for the Albion in the future. One other transfer
03:26rumour that was talked about was Cashin from Derby. The centre-back does look like he could be coming
03:31to the Albion this January transfer window especially with the likes of Julio Igor who's
03:36out for the rest of the season for Albion. They'll be looking for more backup options to make sure
03:41that they're strong in defence. Even though Hösler wouldn't speak about the player it does look like
03:46he may be coming to the Albion soon. For more stories about the Albion coverage and more
