00:00We want to take this band of snow a farther west though
00:03Or at least zoom the radar to the band of snow into Michigan here
00:06We have low visibility and the snow is increasing north of Grand Rapids with snow quickly covering roads
00:13Just be aware of this no snow squall warnings at the moment
00:16But there could be a few issues soon Munising Michigan seeing a second band pushing south here with the front
00:21So that's a concern and this week we're gonna have a series of fronts across the Great Lakes into the northeast with colder air
00:28Holding on north of the Pennsylvania Turnpike areas to the south a bit milder current readings 32 still in Buffalo
00:35We've been pinned there for the past three hours, but in Virginia Beach, we're at 50
00:39We've cooled down about four or five degrees there in the past hour or so. It's windy, too
00:43We got a lot of movement in the northeast and the deep purple high wind warnings are in effect for Chautauqua County up into Monroe
00:49County of New York and in between across the entire Niagara frontier
00:53Other areas near Messina, New York under a high wind warning and also into areas along the spine of the mountains here
00:58The current gust is a southwest wind
01:01Driving warmer air in now that in Buffalo does cross the ice of Lake Erie
01:05So we're at 51 for the wind gusts, but only 32 degrees for the air temp there
01:09But other areas are a bit warmer like in Elmira. We're at 35
01:13So we'll continue to see strong gusts of wind near the Great Lakes and into the high elevations 50 to 60 mile per hour gusts
01:19Likely that's already verifying right now in Buffalo, New York. Snow squalls will be the concern tonight
01:25through parts of Michigan and they will increase into the early early morning hours near Cleveland Erie Buffalo and
01:31Through the middle of the morning east into the rest of the northeast here
01:34It'll be most intense northwest of interstate 95
01:37But Boston could see some of this that could be problematic as well
01:40And there's going to be some cold that holds here this week
01:43The coldest weather of the week will come in at the end of the week
01:47This is Wednesday night to Thursday morning with a cue with the real field temperatures back into the single digits from New York City up
01:53Into Buffalo, so just be aware of this cold wave later this week
01:56But in the short term snow showers and snow squalls on Tuesday morning here
02:01You can see that the snow squalls will be pretty robust here the stripe north of interstate 80 around 8 a.m
02:06That'll drop south
02:07It'll probably dry up a bit before it reaches Baltimore
02:10But then a steady period of snow will follow with another system a separate one
02:14Bringing some additional widespread snow and that will be handing things over to some lake effect that or lake enhancement that follows here into
02:22Wednesday and Thursday for expert insights and superior accuracy
